Five Finger Death Punch has released a new music video for "House of the Rising Sun," which comes off latest album "The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hell Vol. 2."

The video is available below, and the band comments:

"We went out there with two helicopters, two gyrocopters, twenty something crazy cars, a big cast and an arsenal of cameras.

"We ended up with so much amazing material, the hardest task was to compress it down into a 3 minutes video, so we made an extended version with a long intro and we are making an even longer ‘directors cut’ as we speak…

"Until then, Five Finger Death Punch presents… 'House of the Rising Sun'... premiering NOW on VEVO!"

Translation: We're out of ideas for new material so all we do is covers now and campy videos that have 2-3 versions each. This way we don't have to think and keep bringing in the money from all the kids that lap our sh!t up like dogs to diapers in an alley.

OH!!!
I get it now!
THIS is what people talk about when they say “Hot Topic” mall metal.
I’ve honestly never even heard FFDP before and thanks to this video I will never hear anything else.
I think this also ties into an old thread…Is This Metal?
Um……..no.
Actually do any of you remember the part in the movie American Pie where Jim is dancing in his bedroom for that European girl and she turns on the radio and this techno music comes on?
Yeah…that’s what this sounds like only more cheesy.
Now excuse me while I go cleanse my ears with the new Septic Flesh trailer.

I agree Blindgreed. Would liked to have seen motograter continue longer. These guys started out ok but keep getting worse and worse.

Their first album was pretty good. Ashes, Salvation, Place to Die are all good songs. Even the bleeding was a good track. And the bad company cover wasn't bad at all.
But, they have been putting out the same stuff since the re-release of the first album that had those two extra songs which is basically what everything sounds like since.

Holy sh! +, blindgreed with a good post (2), pulled one out of your a$$ on that one, finally.
I dont like this band because moodys vocals seem like hes talking the song and not vocally trying sing it, add the long dialog in between songs at live shows to the fans and that ewuals to a loss of intrest and lack of intrigue in even given a band like this 5 seconds of my time.

"they have been putting out the same stuff since the re-release of the first album" Pretty much says it all. I don't recall any band re-releasing their first album and continuing with a great follow up album. It's recycled crap.

I still own a copy of the first album, which is decent. I didn't bother with much else.

In the bowels of our vaults, there exists a never-published review of 5FDP's third album, withheld due to extreme harshness. Anyone want to guess the rating?

I haven't heard the 2 part of "Righteous Side of Heaven." Sometimes promoters pick the worst song, the most un-metal song to push on metal heads. I don't think it's working here. I liked the jam they did with Rob Halford on the first record. I'm also a big fan of their video "The Bleeding." They're definitely marketed well and to the right crowd, and I like the cinematic aspect, but I have to go with, thumbs down!
