Khonsu Announces Album And EP Release

S. Grønbech of Norwegian metal outfit Khonsu has checked in with the following announcement about a new album and EP release:

"I’m very excited to announce that Khonsu not only will release a new full-length album this autumn, but also an EP in just one week! A total of 14 new songs for you.

"The EP is entitled 'Traveller' and features five tracks which will be released over four consecutive Saturdays, starting on the 1st of March. Two new vocalists will also be revealed.

"The five songs on the EP will be released for FREE on youtube, and first off is a song from the upcoming album. We’ve also made a video for this one.

"Then, on the 8th of March, new versions of the tracks 'Traveller' and 'Ix' will be released. The original versions were included on the 'Reclaim' EP released by extreme metallers Keep of Kalessin back in 2003. The original version of 'Traveller' was also made by me, while Ix was made by me and Arnt 'Obsidian C.' Gronbech from the above mentioned band. Obsidian C. makes a 'guest appearance' with his guitar shredding skills on the new version.

"Next, at the 15th of March, a cover version of 'Army of Me' by Icelandic artist Bjørk will be released.

"Then, finally, at the 22nd of March, you will get to hear a purely electronic version of 'The Malady' from 'Anomalia.' I understand that many of you may not like this track, but personally that music genre is close to my heart.

"At this last Saturday a new homepage will also be available, where it will be possible to buy and download the EP. Not just in mp3, but also in WAV which is standard compact disc format and therefore better quality.

"I’m very happy with the new music, which is way ahead of Anomalia in my mind, and I can’t wait to share it with you."
