Hey folks,
I have been a senior news correspondent here on MU for over 7 years now and I love it. Other than that, I have a bachelor's of science in biology, and I am a huge science nerd. I currently work at a university doing much more boring stuff compared to what I do for MU.
As for musical tastes, I'm mostly into melodic death metal, but I also like other subgenres, such as folk, symphonic, thrash and black. Some of my favourite bands include In Flames, Amon Amarth, Children of Bodom, Dark Tranquillity, Sentenced, Amorphis, Chthonic, Borknagar, Charon, Finntroll, Poisonblack, Dark Tranquillity, Kamelot, Insomnium, Eluveitie, Enslaved, and Nightwish (with Tarja). Aside from metal, I also listen to Arcade Fire, Franz Ferdinand, Foo Fighters, The Clash, Vivaldi, Depeche Mode, Eagles of Death Metal, Beethoven, Frank Sinatra, Pink Martini, and many others.
