I already have a great teacher on the bass, but want to expand my horizon's a bit. Does anyone know of any great bass instruction books, or dvd's?

Books? DVDs? What you need is a good metronome and practice with that :P

Z has a point. A metronome or a drummer is the next step after a good teacher. There is no substitute for timing and execution when it comes to the rhythm section and that only comes with practice, practice, practice.

another suggestion is to record yourself. video tape if you got a camera around. you'd be surprised what you actually look like. it'll improve your fingering techniques amongst other stuff.

I now have acess to a cam corder, so that is do able. Again, thanks! Though I am sad. I can never be as cool of a bass player as William Murderface, and you all know why! *pouts in a corner* Hahahahahaha!

Murderface, Murderface, Murderface totally rules but he's deserved it.

He's aligned himself with a band with 2 guitarists and a egomaniacal singer so there's really no room left for him. He's riding on 4 coattails. Plus he can play the National Anthem with his dick. Kali, if you can do that then I think Murderface will share the spotlight.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Jo Bench is studying on how to be an even better bass player.

Geezer RULES as the best bass player ever!!

I have a thought Kali put down the bass and open your mouth. Thats the only way a person like will go anywhere in the music world
