AP1: im sorry but thats the dumbest thing i've read in a while, "the reason you have everything you have is BECAUSE we are a capitalist nation"

I hate to break it to you but it doesnt work like that, my family who lived in a Socialist country in the Soviet Union had about as much as they do now. just because a country is not Capitalist doesnt mean that the people dont have anything.

MHD: "I don't want a total communist nation, it wouldn't allow for small business or any sort of individuality"

my dad lived in a Communist nation and he started a family business, he started a bar with his friend in 1985 and he got fucked over after like a year. then he started one with my grandpa and they had more money than they knew what to do with. what does the bar tell you about Capitalism?

oh and that country you speak of... there is a country around like that today... its called Canada. out west in BC there are pure Socialist communities and if you look at our laws and what not you would clearly see the mix between both

With all due respect CoHace, you're 17. What the fuck could you possibly know about socialism and capitalism? Have you paid rent/mortgage/bills? Do you even HAVE a job? Living it is one thing, talking about it is quite another. I for one have not lived in a socialist country (I've visited them but never lived in one), but you live in Canada now so when exactly did you live in a capitolist country?

Nobody answered my helicopter question...

no your "helicopter" is for "pleasure" not "incursion" into a "soverign nation"!!

BG1: uhhh, what does paying rent/mortgage/bills or having a job have to do with knowing about socialism and capitalism? if you really want me to tell you what i know just give me to word, im school i have won countless debates over this... and not just with other students (im also not trying to be a dick, if i pissed anyone off im sorry)

Apr 5, 2010 12:56 PM ET #56 (permalink)

I see, it has to be a NATION. My helicopter has incurred into soverign regions, but no nations. lol.

CoHace-exactly, that's why I don't want it to be TOTALY socialist. socialize health insurance, and all the infrastructure stuff, and military, then let private buisinesses(not corporations) have healthy competition...if you actually read my post well, that's what I said. I didn't say that I wanted it to be compeletly socialist, or at least, that's what you seem to think I said....and total Capitalism totaly fucks over buisinesses like your dad's and his friends buisness, with it's allowing huge corporations to do whatever the fuck they want

Oooooooooh. He's won debates in school. Oh well I'm sorry for insulting you with my ignorance of your victories. Had I known you were a masterdebator, I never would have even had the gall to speak to someone in your league. Forgive me sire. Now if you'll excuse me, i'll just go back to being a productive member of society and not just "a student".

I'm going back and re-reading some of the posts on this thread, and it makes me realize how truly ignorant some of these people on this site truly are.

CoHace: Lol. Never mind...

CoHace, YOUR KIND? and what kind are we?!

Apr 5, 2010 10:14 PM ET #70 (permalink)

Damn what a discussion we have here............................ wish I could think of something to say.

Apr 6, 2010 12:48 AM ET #71 (permalink)

Boy? Let me tell you something. You're damn right I'm proud of what I do. I bleed Air Force Blue, and will never EVER back down from that. Because of what I and all of my brothers and sisters, past, present and future do, ensures the right for ignorant, shitheel, cuntfarts like yourself to spout off hateful shit. I recognize that you are from Canada and don't see how that applies to you. Here's where it does. We are the type of country, that if an oppressor came a calling, we would provide aid and send the bad guys packing. Canada is an ally, and we wouldn't let your country get fucked over. That's how the U.S. rolls bitch boy. As far as being productive, what real work have YOU done lately? I've been in the game for almost 15 years now. Please son, I've been jerking off longer than you've been alive.

My kind is responsible for over 1000 civilian deaths? What about the countless others who get their throats slit by the real bad guys because they won't let them store weapons in their homes?

Indoctrination? You mentioned earlier you've won debates in school. That requires a coach and mentor. Yet you've somehow managed to evade all possibility of any form of indoctrination yourself? You're somehow immune to biased opinions prying their way into your high school head? Well kudos to you son.

My stupidity offends you? Son you haven't worked hard enough and payed enough taxes to be offended by ANYTHING.

And for the record, if BG confused you, it's because he injected logic and reason into the conversation. Sorry, but that happens sometimes.

Finally, if you choose to attack in these threads, please try to use your bottomless pits of intelligence and wit to try and inject a little grammatical competency.

Gonna have to side with AP there. Being in any form of armed forces takes some serious balls, no matter what country you're from, so I've got to give him props. Another thing would be the American armed forces don't really have any say about what wars they go to or anything like that. Also, 1000 deaths since September may seem bad on paper but it's not like they're going around killing children and committing mass rape like the Russians and Germans did in World War 2.

It's tough being young. As a teenager and even into your 20s you think you're figuring stuff out, but probably really don't have it figured out yet. Life experience does account for a lot, but like school, you only get out what you put in, and there are plenty of people who don't put much in and instead of learning or figuring things out, just become polarized in their ill-founded opinions. So it's hard to say who has the credibility to argue this or that, but it's easy to see why youth knocks your argument down a notch. Just a thought.

As for blowing this whole helicopter thing out of proportion, Mexico in the US's airspace is kind of like your little brother going into your room after you told him not to. You can warn him and make it clear it's not cool or you can beat the shit out of him and probably get in more trouble yourself for it (by your parents/UN/Word opinion). Whereas, if it was a rival [e.g. sports team captain] who's probably vandalizing or going through your stuff, you'd be warranted in beating the shit out of him.
