Oh, BG you're too kind ;) me and my steaming taco (urgh, the imagery, thanks DJ!) would love to Greencard it up in Arizona! If I get booted out of this sweaty little armpit of a country, expect a visitor!

Only time will tell just how fucked we really are from all of this!

Jun 28, 2016 12:26 PM ET #452 (permalink)

Sorry for the bad imagery there, cbella.

If you go to Arizona, just know that you'd be leaving a 'sweaty little armpit' to move to a huge sweaty ass crack.
It's true! Arizona has a crack so huge they call it the Grand Canyon. It's a huge tourist attraction - in fact there is rumor that to capitalize even more on that geological feature, AZ may change it's state motto to "dat ass".

(Sorry again for the bad imagery.)

There's really not a lot of sweaty anything here DJ. You forget that it's a dry heat. Little to no humidity. When you sweat, it evaporates almost instantly.

Cbella, you're welcome here anytime.

Jun 29, 2016 6:07 PM ET #454 (permalink)

Lmao! I've only been there once (to Cortaro) about 20 years ago and I remember sweating balls, lol. It was in October, so it might not have evaporated so quickly. \m/

Wassup y'all ;p

Picked up tickets to see Ozzfest in September...so in September you guys get out to Arizona, then head over to Southern California to see some bands....yeah!

Whenever I hear Arizona, I always think of seeing Sacred Reich in Belgium and Phil saying, "Fucking hell, it's hot today! We're from Arizona and it's too hot for us!"

Jul 5, 2016 1:42 PM ET #458 (permalink)

Yup, huge difference between dry heat hot and humid hot.

Been a busy bee. On the 15th, me and the mrs. took a couple kids to Six Flags in Texas and then over to New Orleans for a youth convention with 25000 other kids. Aside from an enormous amount of walking (ave. 11 miles/day) and changing a blown tire at 3am on the side of an interstate, the trip went really well. Ate some great food and had a great time.
On Monday, I celebrated another year of marriage to a very patient woman. 18 and counting.

Hope all you guys (and gal) are doing well.

Congrats DJ. I spent two weeks in Orlando with a hottie. It was pretty epic, but the humidity down there is atrocious.

Aug 5, 2016 8:17 AM ET #461 (permalink)

Thanks for the wonderful 2 weeks BG ;) hehehe

Super congratulations DJ! That's a serious accomplishment! The same steaming hot taco all this time :)

Just moved house, hottest time of the year, humidity 75-95%, my son entering the terrible twos...... I think I now better understand my old neighbour who used to stand in her garden and shout at the snails at 3am!

Septicflesh r here the end of the month so that's something. Sabaton r here AGAIN this month too but I have already seen them twice and am still not a fan so, third time's a charm or masochistic?

Aug 5, 2016 11:59 AM ET #462 (permalink)

Masochistic. They're not my thing either.

Aug 5, 2016 5:04 PM ET #463 (permalink)

Thanks guys...

BG. It was a bit unclear whether the atrocious humidity down there referred to Orlando or the hottie... I'll assume you meant Orlando. :)

I saw Sabaton back in 2014 supporting Iced Earth. Their last show of the tour was in Oklahoma City for some reason, and the whole tour package were goofing off, throwing candy (and dildos) at the bands on stage and sh|t. ReVamp (Floor Jansen's solo band) was also on tour with them and Floor dressed up like Joakim complete with the plated vest and pencil beard (via black marker) and went on stage during Sabaton's set mimicking him. It was pretty hilarious, and a great show all in all. Sabaton was the weakest band of the three, but with the hi-jinx and last date shenanigans it was a fun time.
EDIT: Found a clip of it on YT. /watch?v=XGyhSmCmSVE

Sup fuckers.

So I'm still out here in bumfuck, Indiana. Work is steady, trying to go to school.

Keep on keepin' on man. Take it slow.

Congratulations DJ!

I'm off to a fest for one day on Thursday. Anthrax, Steel Panther, Uriah Heep, Holy Moses, some real good stuff.

Aug 8, 2016 10:40 AM ET #466 (permalink)

You assumed correctly DJ.

Aug 8, 2016 1:21 PM ET #467 (permalink)

BG, That was my last lame ass crack about humidity, I promise. LOL

Thanks Oz, have fun at the fest. I still haven't ticked Anthrax off of my bucket list.

Wassup, Terminator? Despite your absence, I think we all knew you would be back. ;) This place needs some livening up.

Aug 12, 2016 12:09 PM ET #470 (permalink)

Good to see you back, Terminator!

Aug 15, 2016 11:26 AM ET #471 (permalink)

Well, getting some concert plans together for the rest of 2016.

-Sept. 29th BTBAM & Devin Townsend @ Gas Monkey Live in Dallas, TX
-October 30th Evanescence @ Diamond Ballroom in OKC. (Surprise show for my Daughter)
-November 12th Black Sabbath @ AT&T Center in San Antonio, TX. (Possibly the last time the 3 blokes from Birmingham perform on US soil again.)
-November 26th Epica, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Arkona, The Agonist @ Gas Mokney Live in Dallas, TX
-December 10 Sonata Arctica, Leaves Eyes, Omnium Gatherum, Infidel Rising, Millennial Reign @ Trees in Dallas, TX.

Got my tickets to the Sabbath show. Devin Townsend on Sept. 29th is just about locked in too. Hopefully, I can make it to the other three as well.

Aug 31, 2016 6:47 PM ET #473 (permalink)

That's a good list DJ. I'm too damned busy to see any shows :-(

Sep 1, 2016 8:38 AM ET #474 (permalink)

I've been there. Time and money usually aren't always available at the same time for me, which is why I'm trying to get the tickets when I have the money and schedule the time now.

I checked out the Baroness article/video here and saw that they played in Tucson last night. Hope you were able to go to that show.

I wanted to. Couldn't make it. Had to interview staff at 10 pm and then be up at 4 am today. FML...
