Happy new year fuckers! I'm staying in this year. Too many amateurs out on New Years. I'm very happy to see the lovely miss cbella is still with us.

I was asleep by 9:30 pm. It was just another night of consumerism that I could care less about

Happy 2016 filthbags!

Good to see my favourite faeces spreader again ;)

Anyone planning on going to any festivals this summer?

Jan 6, 2016 5:28 AM ET #329 (permalink)

No festivals for me, but seeing Tool/Primus on January 26th.....

Make something happen! You can do it!

3 teeth is pretty interesting industrial too Branded. Let me know how they do. They're a lot like Ministry.

I keep reading ppls posts from the shows already done how good they were. I'll definitely let ya know

I'm hoping to go to Graspop again this year, especially if Rotting Christ and/or Melechesh get added to the bill.

In the meantime, I'm going to the Kataklysm/Septicflesh/Aborted show in London next month (interviewing the latter two bands) and the Overkill/Vader/One Machine tour in April, hopefully after me and my girlfriend have found a place.

Planning on Bloodstock and might do the reading fest to see RHCP.

maybe doing damnation as well

3teeth were a mixture of Ministry/NIN. The singer looked like MJK with a mustache and his stage presence was that of Trent Reznor. Primus kicked ass! Tool was absolutely sensational. Review as always later today......

I don't think I've ever seen a bad Tool show. Consistently epic each and every time I've seen them.

A bit late on the review, sorry everyone. Quick overview to tease you:

I was row 2 center stage floor, no seats on floor this time. Got a used Danny Carey stick, 1 of 3 he tossed into the crowd.

Hey Cam Newton... Have a choke and a smile.

I'm definitely on the Nile/Melechesh tour in April. Can't wait to see Septicflesh again in a couple of weeks.

Lky fkr BG1!! I can't make the Carolina Rebellion again this yr. Saturday is the day to be there!

Going to my 2nd Charlotte Checkers hockey game tonight. Wife and I went the other night and loved it. Bought 2 tickets for tonights game. Seeing on tv and then in person, really shows you how brutal it is. Any other hockey junkies out there? Also, anyone else watch the netflix series NARCOS?! Freakin love that show and I am only on episode 3 of season 1.

Feb 15, 2016 11:50 AM ET #343 (permalink)

Yup, love me some hockey. "HE SHOOTS, HE SCORES, HEY GOALIE... YOU SUCK!"

Feb 15, 2016 11:52 AM ET #344 (permalink)

And yes, I usually watch those when they come out on Netflix. Very few Netflix series have disappointed.

Feb 20, 2016 6:52 AM ET #345 (permalink)

NARCOS is very good, waiting for series 2

Sup fuckers...

Waiting for Season 4 of The Americans on FX.

Last night I re-watched some of the season 3 episodes in eager anticipation.

Feb 27, 2016 4:03 AM ET #347 (permalink)

I never got into the Americans. Been watching American Crime Story, the People vs. OJ, it's really good! Cuba Gooding Jr. is a great OJ.

One of my absolute favourite bands, Cancerslug, is putting out their last album and I'm so gutted they are going to be done! Boo hoo! Anyone here listen to them?

Feb 27, 2016 9:52 AM ET #348 (permalink)

I tried The Americans and turned it off before the first episode finished. The OJ one looked really good but I missed the first few episodes so I'm gonna wait until it's finished then watch it from the start. I recently started watching The Bridge and Vikings, which I like, though The Bridge is more my sort of thing.

Still waiting on my interview with Christos Antoniou from Septicflesh to be edited but I'm looking forward to posting it. Real nice guy. Got talking about Greek football.

Speaking of which, time to watch QPR lose again...

I guess The Americans is an acquired taste. I am drawn to it for the writing and multiple story arcs along with the realism in how spy craft was done prior to the digital age. Underneath the espionage, the show is about a marriage.
Being married with kids that are about the same age as the characters Paige and Henry, I can relate to some of the issues they face. Season 3 had a lot of conflict between the two parents about what was best for their oldest kid, Paige - to keep their dangerous spy lives a secret, or to tell her and train her to be a spy also (which is what the Russian Rezidentura wanted). The cliffhanger was them telling her, which completely blew her mind, and then she confided in a close friend. Season 4 will be interesting to see what repercussions there are. Will she go along with her parents? Will her friend (who's also her Pastor) tell the authorities (will that violate his confessional oath?), will they tell their son Henry too? That's just for one of at least 4 different plot lines going on. That web of plot development is another part of why I'm so interested in it.

The OJ show looks interesting, but knowing the outcome, it doesn't do much to persuade me to watch something that I thought was over sensationalized at the time. During the trial in 1995, I was in my first year of college. I was tired of hearing about it then, so I'm kind of biased.

I need to catch up on Vikings. Missed the first two episodes this season. I'm a history buff, so this season and the next should be off the hook. Ragnar's kids make him look like a cupcake.
