hey everyone. i'm a senior in high school and i just found metal underground recently. i actually wasn't into metal for a long time, i usually just listened to hard rock and alternative, especially shinedown, which is still one of my favorite groups. a friend of mine introduced me to underground metal a few weeks ago, and i've been listening nonstop since then! i never realized how awesome metal was before... |

Ive been on this site for like 4 years now and havnt gotten so much as a howdy-do, let alone a "welcome to mu". I feel like im waaaay overdue...someone welcome me at once! Not really a new member. I've been posting on news blurbs for a while, but didn't realize the forums existed. 26, M in Iowa. I'm the only one of my friends who prefers metal, so I generally listen to metal when I am alone. Still not sure if that is a good thing. I've been to a ton of different concerts, most recently Coldplay, then it was Rascal Flats and Darius Rucker. Not too proud, but I listen to everything. All of my buddies in high school and college listened to Dave Mathews, so I have an extreme distaste for that music. I prefer the swede Gothenburg metal. I listen to music at work, which tends to creep people out when you have melo-death on as a financial analyst. One semester away from getting my MBA and finally saying goodbye to schooling. Cool to see the new members posting in, figured I would toss in my hat as well. |
