I'm new here! I joined to learn about new music, events and also do a little shameless self promotion of Western Canada's biggest (and possibly only?) metal festival.

So hello, hello!

Hey everyone. I've been lurking for a pretty long time and probably would not have signed up if not for this thread. I've been playing guitar for about 7 years now and am currently working on getting my little bro to make that first step from metalhead to musician. I've recently been working on my songwriting when I can, but my job keeps me away from home to the point where being in a band would be impractical. Anyway, nice to officially be a part of the MU family now. Cheers and long live metal.

Hey, I'm a big fan of lots of metal subgenres, the only one I don't really care for is power metal. I've written about 70 reviews for the metal archives under the same user name I'm using here. Just started a music blog the other day, check it out:

Heh - I disliked Skagos's "Ast" so much I got halfway through writing an overtly negative review just to counter the positve ones haha (reminds me I should finish that off some time...), anyway yeah I think I've read other reviews of yours before - hope you'll keep cross posting on MA.

Hi LilithImmaculate, DarkkubaN, wmed05, dystopia4, bluejeanjunky and KMADD. Welcome, whether you're new here or just been lurking for a long time. Feel free to join in the discussions. I need to get the band promotion cleaned up here a bit so it's easier to find actual discussions.

Hi kids, I'm the creepy uncle Blindgreed1. Come on over and hop up here on my lap so we can have a long awkward discussion about feces. :-) \m/\m/

My Name Is Annie Doucet, I Look Forward To Talking And Meeting And Discussing Our Craft At This Space. I used to play in working bands in the 80's and 90's.. Trying to get back into playing again.. and I want to teach my 10 year old son to play.
Now I’m just running my small drum shop and teaching private students and love it. (Though I must admit I now miss a bit of the studio work and even more the pay check).
I'm a fan of heavy metal but my drumming is more like Tom Petty, classic rock, and country. My favorite drummers are Gavin Harrison, Danny Carey, Lars Ulrich, Benny Greb, and Sean Rickman.
I’m here to listen, learn teach and be a student. Support new young talent. There’s a lot out there!

Thank you.
