I'm having a procedure done in a few days and, though I'll be numb and won't feel any pain, I'll still be awake and aware of what's going on. O.o... I'm nervous and terrified.. I've been told to bring headphones to ease my mind, so I'm putting together a playlist, but a lot of the songs I have are old and over played, and therefor, fail to motivate/inspire me. :/ So, I thought I'd check around and see if anyone else has some suggestions- I don't care about genres of sub-genres.. If it sounds good, I'll listen to it...
Here's my playlist so far:

1. Bleed the Sky- Killtank
2. Killswitch Engage- Hope Is
3. In Flames- Where the Dead Ships Dwell
4. Soilwork- Let This River Flow
5. Hypocrisy- Eraser
6. Mnemic- Pattern Platform
7. Evergrey- Watching the Skies
8. Eluvietie- Thousandfold
9. Rotting Christ- Athanati Este
10. Soilwork- 20 More Miles
11. Mastadon- The Last Baron
12. Mudvayne- F*cking Determined
13. Gojira- The Way of All Flesh

....and that's it. It's not a bad list, but as I've said- some of them are so over played, they just become background noise when I turn them on. I'm looking for heavy, melodic, and inspirational.. Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks! :)

You should play something slow and heavy, that's the best way to relax and make time fly by! Something like this:

Or maybe hypnotic like this:

Ah.. yes! Peter Steele's voice is amazing.. and this song is a classic. I have never heard of 'Drudkh'.. but I like it. This song reminds me of a band called 'Öröm'.. I may pull a few songs from them too. :D

Thank you..
