The big one on sunday, Tottenham vs the SCUM..

Sep 27, 2011 7:19 PM ET #602 (permalink)

Judging by recent results, I'm betting on your boys to do the job in that match. QPR vs Fulham on sunday, another local derby. I can't remember the last time QPR had a league derby match to look forward to!

2 london derbys in the same day.. good times..

not got anything against QPR but im wanting fulham to win because Martin Jol is still a fuckin legend for Spurs.. other than that id probably want QPR to do well on sunday.

Sep 30, 2011 7:30 AM ET #604 (permalink)

Lol fair play. Judging from recent performances I'd say 2-1 to QPR but we'll see. Mersyside derby this weekend too, should be interesting.

watching that now before i go and watch Dagenham struggle against Crewe alexandria

Oct 2, 2011 8:52 PM ET #606 (permalink)

we done the arsenal scumcunts 2-1 dominated the french bastards and made their peado manager fit like a bitch.

deepest sympathies to D-Oz.. the only word i can use is Shit......

Absolutely brilliant goal from Kyle Walker yesterday. When I saw it on MOTD2 I had an Alan Partridge moment and shouted, "SHIT! DID YOU SEE THAT!?" Great to see Spurs doing well.

Thanks for the condolences. I still can't believe the result yesterday. Fucking Fulham hadn't won a match all season, and they styled all over Rangers. Great to see Jamie Mackie back on the pitch after nine months though, and he really should have been awarded a penalty for that breach near the end.

Newcastle this weekend.. should be an interesting game. Spurs to WIN

Oct 11, 2011 6:42 AM ET #609 (permalink)

2-0 Spurs I reckon. We've got Blackburn this weekend which in theory we should win, but after Fulham, nothing is certain.

Oct 23, 2011 8:06 AM ET #610 (permalink)

Man United vs Man City shortly, should be a great game. Then, QPR vs Chelsea, first time we've played our most hated rivals in the league in fifteen years. I excited.

Man. City put the raping on M.U. today!!!

Not really a soccer fan,but because J. Henry the Sox owner owns the Liverpool team i get bombarded with e-mails reminding to watch Liverpool on NESN. Hell, actually watched part of a game a few weeks ago, pretty cool atmosphere. The chants and sing/song stuff made me want to be there . Sounds like fun,get shitted, head to the match, chant, and sing drunken songs belittling the other team. Cool stuff!

The Manchester derby was great fun, butthurt Man United fans are always hilarious. Jacrum will be happy with the Spurs result today too. But of course, it's all about *drum roll please*

Queens Park Rangers 1
Chelsea 0

That's the first time we've beat Chelsea since 1995! I am so happy right now it's unreal. Watching it with a Chelsea fan made it all the sweeter.

Right, I think I should stop celebrating now :P

I'm not surprised to be honest R10, Man United are possibly the biggest club in the world, at least in Britain. Wolf7 is a Liverpool supporter so you wouldn't be alone if you decided to pick them to support.

i believe Tottenham need more representation on here...

Oct 24, 2011 3:49 PM ET #618 (permalink)

Well I think there'll be plenty of Tottenham this week since it's your boys against mine this weekend.

Oz,Man U is pretty damn big in soccer circles over this way too. They played an exhibition game this summer in Foxboro, where the Patriots play,it drew pretty well from what i understand. We have the New England Revolution in US pro soccer, which draws respectably. Nothing like your teams, but well considering they compete for.attention with the Patriots,Redsox,Bruins, and Celtics. Pretty crowded market.

I would have thought in Boston, since there's so many people who like to show off their celtic heritage, that Celtic shirts would be worn alot over there. (Scottish team, they play in green and white hoops.) Boston definitely has a great sporting scene, I always root for the Celtics in basketball and even though I'm not a fan of either sport, I always back the Red Sox and the Patriots.

I got to thinking though, in the American football thread on MU, we were talking about Tebow and the buzz around him. I looked him up and the biggest thing I could find about him is that he wore Biblical passages on his face. Meanwhile, let's take a look at some of the things Mario Balotelli, probably the most talked about player in English football, has been up to.

Survived a usually fatal disease at birth
£10,000 in parking fines
Car impounded 27 times
£300,000 fine for throwing darts at the youth team
Won £25,000 in a casino, gave £1,000 to a tramp outside
Rescued a child from bullying
Threw tomatoes at some Serie A manager
Threw water balloons at Serie A meeting
Started a fight with 4 bouncers, after breaking the no touching rule at a strip club
Thinks milk with tea is strange
Started fights with Kompany and Tevez at training
Was frequently seen at the AC Milan superstore while playing for inter
Went on TV in an AC shirt with his name on while at inter
U21s game for Italy, kicks a swedish player while he’s down and proceeds to just sit on the pitch ignoring the opposition and the referee for about a minute.
Is then offended when he gets sent off and protests about it
He winked at Ferdinand at the semi final of the FA cup and celebrate in front of the Man U fans.
After the FA cup final, on live TV, says “This season I have been shit. Can I say that?”
Was stopped by police driving round Hulme (a real shithole) in his maserati with £25,000 cash on the passenger seat. When asked why he said “because I’m rich”
Had to go off at half time in a game in Ukraine due to an allergy to the pitch
Had to be physically hauled away by Zanetti for refusing to let Samuel Eto’o take a penalty that he had won
Once broke up with a girlfriend via text while she was presenting a live television show
Slept with a model while his girlfriend was asleep downstairs
Drove his car into a women’s prison so he could have a look around
Attempted a roulette back heel shot against LA Galaxy and missed
Connections with the Naples Mafia, he even testified in court at a Mafia trial
Brought iPad to bench during International friendly.

These are just the ones that have been confirmed

Oz,Bostons still a blueblood town, even though thiers a large transplanted Irish conclave in Boston. Not sure how a potential Celtic/Rangers match would go down in Foxboro. Ive read about the violence concerning that rivalry, pretty violent stuff. Im not sure if Scottish League is big enough to draw or not. I know owner Henry, owner of the Redsox and Liverpool,is trying to get Liverpool over for a game next summer. Soccer has its fans, but it also has to go up against so much other entertainment options. Unlike where you are, where its ingrained into you all from birth. I tried watching some of the last world cup,but i couldnt stand the sound of those fuckin horns they were blowing, plus our US team sucked.

Oct 24, 2011 7:16 PM ET #623 (permalink)

BG: QPR are now in tenth place I'm glad to say, after beating our arch rivals Chelsea 1-0 yesterday for the first time since 1995. I'm still buzzing over that.

R10: I wasn't aware that Boston was a blueblood town. The Celtic-Rangers clashes are always nasty, but that isn't so much a football related matter as it is a religious and political one. Rangers being the Protestant team and Celtic being the Catholic, if you look at the history of Britain and Ireland, you'll see those two have been doing horrific things to each other here for centuries. I reckon the religious factor might cause a few skirmishes if the teams were to play each other in the States, but since they'd be out of Glasgow, it'd probably be alot tamer than usual.

Yea oz,pretty nasty that Celtic/Rangers rivalry. Yea,Bostons blueblood allright. Old money, traditions, still ruled by that. Even though Boston was the first city to elect a Irish Catholic mayor. Check out your map of England Oz,on the bottom east coast theres a little town called Boston. Also,a bunch of those surrounding towns on the east coast of your country, are names of Massachuesetts towns. Cromwell country,i shit you not. But to hell with the religious politics i say.

Jackrum: Today's the day mate, I won't hype up QPR too much today because I don't expect to beat Spurs at all, I'll be happy with a draw lol.

R10: I think I've been to Boston (English one), the East Country is quite nice but for some reason I always felt it was kinda cut off from the rest of England. I shouldn't say much more than that though because I know another forum user if from Norwich lol.
