Apologies for the straight-in-with-the-business thread, but such is life..

HAMMERS is a band from Manchester, UK playing a pretty unique mix of punk/hardcore/metal/crust - maybe we're like His Hero Is Gone jamming songs off the first Mastodon record, or maybe we're just trying to write songs that are interesting and heavy first and foremost. The genuine intensity that ensues is just an atmospheric coincidence.. we're people who have played in numerous bands over the years, including stints with The Secret, Anxiety Attack and Funeral Diner (very briefly).

We wanted to let everyone know that we have our brand new 10 track record 'Vardøgr' available and also a number of leftover tour t-shirts from our 32-date European tour t'other month.

The new record is a weird one, but definitely recognisable as being HAMMERS. It's fast, sometimes slow, tons of melody but always just as heavy as we can possibly make it. The record was produced/mixed by Brad Boatright of From Ashes Rise, and he's done a star turn in creating a real dark atmosphere throughout it. If you did so wish, you can also buy the 10" directly from us. It's black vinyl, presented inside a die-cut card sleeve, with hand-screened inlay booklet and anamorphic image viewer. She's a beaut as always, and we're incredibly proud of how it's come out. We also have a number of t-shirts to go with the record, featuring the album artwork and images associated with the record. It was released with the support of Adagio830 (Berlin), Pain-of-Mind (Hannover) and Win Htein (London).
