Been playing DC Universe online since it went free to play. Not a great game, but pretty fun. VERY action oriented. For a comic fan like myself though, it's great to be able to fight alongside or against all those great DC heroes and villains. Been waiting for a day with no work, no wife, dogs walked, beer bought and chilled, to play Skyrim. Looks pretty cool so far just want to drink a few and get totally immersed. |

Hate to say it's been collecting dust on my TV stand. I started it a few days back, but just can't seem to slip into the right frame of mind to play it. Looks like a great game, people are singing it's praises left and right. I loved Oblivion. Maybe there's too much going on for me and the Mrs. right now. Probably try to fire it up tonight after trivia and a couple pitchers. |

It's one of those games you have to devote hours to do each time you play it unfortunately. I cant just pick it up and play really casually. You kindof have to accept the fact that you'll be here for a while. The quests and people you meet become so involved and numerous that if you don't play for a while, and then you come back, you can feel a bit lost for a short time. You can try to just follow the main quest line, but even that branches into like 8 different paths. For fucks sake even choosing which side of the civil war you'll be on takes you to two completely opposite ends of the map. Dont even get me started on finding the dragon word walls, Ive been looking for this one fucking dragon for an hour because I cant figure out how to get up the damn mountain, and the only reason I know hes there is because it's a quest. The majority of dragons and their word walls are in equally random positions across the map. If you let it, this game becomes more important and time consuming than real life....you have been warned. |

Skyrim was the first Elder Scrolls that I actually got interested to play. There's a lot of glitches that need to be fixed though. I really wanna get Rage but I'm disappointed to hear that the ending is one of the worst ever. I don't know though so I'll have to play to see for myself. That and I need to play GoW3. |

Skyrim is the type of game where the glitches make the game more loveable. The one-hit KO form the giants that shoot you thousands of feet in the air? Hilarious. Floating Mammoths? love it. If you cast "reanimate corpse" on a dead dragon, it's skeleton shoots off into the sky faster than you can run. I've seen a few others, but none that come to mind right now. The sheer size, graphic intesity, and nearly abhorrent gameplay freedom within Skyrim make a game that would have made me suspicious of Devil-worship if it DIDNT have glitches. Once you grasp the fact that things are happenign all over the world even when you're not there, the glitches seem less important, considering the sheer power of the game at your command. Several times Ive run into a dead body or animal in the woods that wasnt by my hand, or I'll run into a giant fighting a dragon, or a team of bandits attacking giant spiders. I'll leave the area, come back two hours later, and all their dead bodies will still be there with all the loot that implies. It's a fully functioning and nearly autonomous world, that you're just participating in. There's a civil war going on the whole game that you only have the slightest impact on. Even the few scripted events happen differently every time. Ive watched five different people play throught the first hour of the game, which is really the only section that's generally played the same by everyone, and Ive noticed the pre-planned events go different each time. Ive made two characters myself; in the one, I lollygagged in between two towns, killing imperial soldiers, hunting a deer, and killing butterflies with fire powers, and ran into one of the scripted events to help kill a giant that was attacking a farm. In my second character, I ran right to the spot at the farm, and the giant was already dead, and the warriors yelled at me and called me a pussy for not helping in time. I just realized I'm ranting about Skyrim again. Fucking stop it. |

FAN reminds me of Just Cause 2 only better. That game was FUCKING HUGE! Like, it'd take me 5 to 10 minutes to get arcoss the map with the fastest plane you could get. Then when you sky dived from the highest point it'd take like 3 minutes to land. Intense stuff. |

ZMA at first, because of the way you said it, i thought you were saying that I reminded you of Just cause 2, which made no sense, but I appreciated the compliment because that game was awesome. Then I kept reading and relaized you meant SKYRIM reminded you of Just Cause 2, not me. .....Oh....okay. :( lmao but seriously, if skyrim didnt have the "fast travel to cities" option, i would be dead inside from pointless hours of virtual traveling, that place is so fucking huge. My one buddy played the third and fourth elder scroll games, so he's kindof a nerd on em, and he expressed the fact that Skyrim is only a state/country on the bigass island/continent that encompasses the whole mythos of elder scrolls. Which to me, implies that one day....they will have to make an elder scrolls game so vast that it encompasses the whole continent....and then suicide rates across the country will triple, as people realize theyve traversed more area of a virtual world than they ever will in the real world, and depression overwhelms their fragile minds, until the escapism of death is the only answer.... until then, I look forward to the next Elder Scrolls game 6 years from now, even though i doubt i will be done playing Skyrim by then. :D |

So what are you guys playing in Skyrim? I usually go for wizards and scholarly types, so I made a Breton and focused on Dual Destruction with Restoration as a minor focus. This afternoon I started a Nord and focused on one-handers with block as a minor. Think I'm actually liking the Nord better. Think it started the moment I jumped on a dragon's neck and buried my axe in his head ;) |

Skyrim is the first video game I've played since about 2005, I went on a long hiatus but I was a huge fan of Morrowind so I finally broke in and thought I'd give it one last go (saps up too much of my time!). Anyway I'm playing an assassin, with enchanting and block to back it up. PC has plenty of console port issues I could complain about for hours but for each hour of complaining I get tenfold in awesome gameplay. Nothing quite like the "fuck yeah you prick!" feeling of ending a damn tough battle with a decapitation. |

I'm the type of guy who hates playing humans if I can help it. I'M ALREADY A NORD DAMNIT. I started with an orc named "Baldo the Nigger-clown" with the full intention of being a dual mace wielder, but for some reason could only find one decent mace for a good portion of the game, so I ended up one-handing it for a while with magic spells in the other hand, and then ended up finding a boss-as-fuck electricity two-handed warhammer. Soooooo by the time I found another decent mace to dual wield with, I was so leveled up in other, better shit, that I just said fuck it and stuck with magic/mace and the mega-hammer. MY SECOND character was an argonian, (the lizard people) who I named Elizardbeth (see what I did there?) and went straight mage. Since I knew where to get cool spells and shit already after my first playthrough, I was raping shit 30 minutes into the game. Fuck bows and arrows, I was hunting butterflies and rabbits with fireballs, and occasionally sneaking up on thieves and sneakily killing them with FIRE DEMONS. Still cant kill a fucking giant though. |

Yes that's what I meant FAN. But don't worry you're still the shit bro =] lol.
I just can't wait for the day that you can just plug yourself into the game and play as the character. Matrix style. Only you won't actually die if you die in the game, cause who the fuck would wanna play that..................I bet money people would play a game like that haha. |
