as a musician and die hard metal fan...i can only seem to dig old school metal and metal thats kind of being off put as mainstream. im not talking about black sabbath or judas priest, more like metallica, dimmu borgir, and cannibal corpse. the metal of today just kind doesnt have the same feeling and spirit as it once did. am i the only one that thinks like this?

I have said this for years, not to insult new bands or anything like that but I feel that none of the young guys coming out are rocking it as heavy as the older bands. It's just not moving me in any way which is sad because the new guys were definitely inspired by the older bands, so that means they really should be better or have the potential to at least make tolerable music, it's almost killed the genre.
The only band that came out recently that I bought was Graveyard, they come from Sweden. Other than that, nothing. I find myself on amazon music listening to samples of every band that comes up and still walk away disappointed with the new bands.
