Has anyone else seen the trailer for this movie? I saw it at Transformers last night (I loved it and don't give a shit) and it looked awesome.

Finally got to see the 2nd X-Files movie. I don't think it was as good as the first one, but still good.

I liked the second movie too, but was kinda disappointed that it was more of a stand-alone thing instead of continuing the plot. They need to make a third movie about the whole 2012 invasion thing, like, right fucking now lol.

I was hoping that the 2nd movie would be a follow on from the alien plot of the show.
Was okay but not that good.

District 9 just looks like it's gonna be...different. Which is good, considering how stagnant the American movie industry has become.

I have no idea whether it's gonna be good or not. th plot sounds awesome, and the trailer looks trippy and cool as fuck besides, but then again, it would be very easy to fuck it all up. never underestimate how much someone can fuck something awesome up. Tha tbeing said, I'm excited to see it.

The plot, as I understand it, is thus:
Aliens crashed on earth 28 years ago. they arent here to destroy us, and they arent here to instill us with infinite knowledge, like people thought would happen if aliens ever came. They're just the last survivors of their species, and they got marooned and refugeed here on earth.

The government quarantined and sectioned them off, I think somewhere in Africa, where they landed, and doesnt let the aliens near humans, and vise versa. At the same time, the goverment is trying to figure out how to use the super-powerful alien weoponry, that only seems to respond to Alien DNA. And somehow they arent letting the aliens leave until they do. (I dont know how they're keeping the aliens on the planet, so dont ask me)

then some guy gets sprayed with some kindof alien chemical and...surprise surprise!...Weird shit starts ahppening to him. he can use the alien technology and other weird shit. so naturally, the whole world is chasing this guy down across the globe, trying to figure out how to use him.

And the ship looks like the aliens watched Independence day alot before designing it. :P

That's all I've got.

"And the ship looks like the aliens watched Independence day alot before designing it."

Could you tell if they had any personal grudges against Will Smith and that weird guy from Jurassic Park?

I thought District 9 looks interesting. Not sure I'll make it out to see it though (it's rare I see anything in the movies that is not a kids movie).

Loved X-Files since the beginning (not so much toward the end). The latest X-Files movie was more hindered by the X-Files characters and baggage. Thought is was an ok thriller overall, but not as great X-files.

Yeah, they upgraded the design and installed norton anti-virus, to protect their alien super computers from the man-made laptop virus. :P

Rediculuos plotholes aside, I loved that movie.
