Well Personally, I think a name as simultaneously memorable and offensive as one that suggests having a vagina in your anus, at least deserves an honorable mention for the top five.

Being offensive is easy, man. Anyone can do that. Coming up with a clever name that is both memorable and full of imagery and/or meaning, THAT is what I consider a good name for a band. A Perfect Circle, Dark Tranquility, Malevolent Creation, Judas Priest, Lamb of God, Black Sabbath, Sleepmakeswaves, The Red Shore, Coal Chamber, Nine Inch Nails, One Day As A Lion, even something as simple as Tool works.

It's all well and good to be offensive, or to try and have the gore-iest name out there, that's good marketing - people will probably remember that shit - but I wouldn't go so far as to say that much on its own constitutes a good name. Give me something that's had at least a LITTLE thought put into it, PLEASE! I think that's half the reason I like prog bands so much.
