Nice, nice - despite not liking core vocals I'm a big fan of their "Scepter of the Ancients" album so I keep up with what they're doing. Alright, Aborted goes on the list too.

Strapping Young Lad- Velvet Kevorkian. City is still a punishing, brutal album 15 years after being released. One of my all time favorites!

Trouble "'scuse me" and then my flash player crashed :-/ I know this was discussed elsewhere, but what are the best Trouble albums to check out?

Everyone loves their debut, "Psalm 9", which is a thrashy, doomy classic. I really love their follow up "The Skull", which is doomier but pretty much in the same vein, as is the next one "Run To The Light" (underrated btw). Their self titled album is their Black Album, less thrash, more rock and was quite popular. Still good though. "Manic Frustration" was similar to "Trouble", but not as good.

You know every time I go to listen to Dissection, I end up deciding I'd rather listen to Sacramentum. I know that's heresy but It's more like I just really love Sacramentum.

Oz! Cheers for the constant harping on about Budgie, listening to "In For The Kill" now, what an album!

Good man yourself Cynic. Fantastic band!

Agnostic Front - My Life, My Way

What more could you possibly need when you've got Necrolord doing artwork for you and Andy LaRocque producing the albums? haha that's sharp man!
On the subject of Budgie, I was going to buy an album of theirs over the weekend but was outraged about the high prices on their imported cd's! Should I just pick one up anyway, Oz (or Cynic)? :P

"Entity Of Night" by Setherial

*EDIT* I forgot to mention something. Hey Cynic, what do you think about "The Animal Spirits"? it's the only Slough Feg album in stock at

Excuse me, my phone has a damn letter limit! haha

.....in stock at the record store where I shop at but I'm not too sure if I should take a stab it? considering it's not an album released during their "prime time."

Depends what the album is to be honest Cryonics. If it's "Bandolier," "In For The Kill" or "Never Turn Your Back On A Friend" then definitely go for it.

Paradise Lost - Permanent Solution

I was reading reviews of some of Budgie's later albums and they mentioned that they're quite rare and in many cases cost an arm and a leg.

As far as Slough Feg - I'd recommend starting with DATDM or Traveller of course, but Slough Feg have yet to disappoint me with any of their albums. "The Animal Spirits" is worth it just for the songs "Free Market Barbarian" and "Heavyworlder".

Kreator - " Endless Pain"

Feb 15, 2012 7:33 AM ET #146 (permalink)

I've some of them priced quite highly but these are usually the original recordings, the remasters are a bit cheaper and don't sound that different.
