So, I've been looking around for a long time for a denim jacket so i can cut the sleeves off and make it into a vest with patches and pins all over it. it's been a real pain in the asshole to find one, but I'm still looking. Anyone know where I can find any patches? I've got a few pins and i made six or five patches out of T shirts that are either too big or too small for me. preferrably, im looking for a large back patch, an anthrax one, a metallica one, and hopefully a few others. I have no idea where to find them though. Help?

Find a good online distro and order in bulk, that's the best way and how I got mine. Otherwise for the weirder patches it's always best to order from the bands direct - a lot will sell patches pretty cheap these days.

Seriously ; I was standing in line at a Manowar show a month and a half ago and there was a young couple ahead of me with jean jackets littered with patches. Anthrax;Metallica;Testament;etc and I asked them where did they find em. And they told me Rockibillia dot com. Try that one. I told these folks they woulda fit in at a show in 1986!

Some of the bigger underground bands, and most of the thrash ones, undergroud or not, tend to sell them at concerts. If you dont find them at concerts though, like the other guys said, either buy from the bands direct(Skeletonwitch sells band girl panties for cryin out loud), or Rockabilia.com. That site has a pretty wide selection of band apparel, metal and otherwise, but definitely great for metal.
