Hey guys what are your thoughts on the way metal is evolving and changing with the times? I personally grew up in the 90's on thrash and speed metal and even liked some death metal. As I got older and started to get into other bands and started evolving as a musician, I began to get more into expiermental/metalcore and even some rapcore. This question is geared more towards the "true" or death/black metalheads out there but anyone is free to post thier thoughts. I'm looking for negative and positive feedback, bands from the sub-genres you like or hate and why? Please be respectful and no war posts! Horns up!

umm experimental..that's not like, tech death is it. Cuz initially I thought "oh, the faceless, duh" but then I realized they have a more technical sound. Maybe you're looking for a band like Born of Osiris?
You might like Blind Witness its like metalcore but a more death metal sound. Hope this helped |

Please don't cross post the same message to multiple forums. I am also moving this to the Core forum, where it belongs. On topic, there are a number of interesting expermential hardcore/metalcore bands out there, but I've not been captivated by them for the most part. I prefer my metalcore blazing fast usually (Unearth, Himsa, etc.). |
