I've been doing some work with creating friendlier URLs on a number of sections, including the forums and the member profiles. Did you know that you can reference your profile by metalunderground.com/members/username ?
It might be a little different if you have funky characters in your name. These links are used in the forums now and I'll be pushing them out everywhere on the site. But if you run into a case that throws an error rather than showing the user profile, please let me know (again, I expect this would only happen with some weird character combos I haven't tested or encountered). Thanks.

This should be all done in the forum now. Sorry if anyone has seen any errors, but there were a few that slipped through while perfecting the friendly URL updates. Let me know if you get any errors from here out though. Thanks!
