If Metalheads are good at nothing else, we're great at arguing about bands or genres. Yeah we all come from different countries but let's hash it out anyway and learn about each other even in disagreement. That said, I'm a Democratic Socialist and will write Bernie Sanders in if he doesn't win the nomination. That said, I support Jeremy Corbyn across the pond by proxy. |

Nice mention of Jez there mate. Fellow democratic socialist and hardcore supporter of Corbyn. I'm practically wanking with happiness at all the infighting the British Conservative Party are doing. Nice to see absolute scum bags tearing each other apart. I've said before that I'm not going to say what America should do politically, but if I was an American citizen, I'd vote for Sanders. As it is, I'll be backing Podemos when I move to Spain. |

I think the best move as a people is to find your party's equivalent in other countries. You recognize your alignment everywhere, you have the best idea of where our species is going as a whole. And both major parties are infighting on my end. The Republicans have no strong candidate except for the guy that even they agree is a problem (granted, Cruz can be just as shitty as Trump). The Democrats want Hillary more than Sanders but he's the only one to trust. We need to think past the two-party system so fringe parties never get traction (This post was last edited on April 2, 2016 at 10:00 AM ET.) |

Agreed. The two party system in the US is crap. In Oklahoma, the primary elections are closed meaning that only registered republicans can vote for the R nominees and likewise for the Dems. Oddly enough, my wife is registered as a Democrat and I'm registered as a Republican. I threw my vote away on Kasich, while my wife felt the Berne. She would have refused to vote for "Billary". I'm not sure what she's going to do in November assuming Hillary gets the Nomination as predicted. Oklahoma ballots do not have a provision for write-in candidates. I may end up voting for her as much as I never would have thought that possible. I'm not impressed with her character or who how she defended herself from some scandals by obstruction. However, she acts like the lawyer she is - just like all the others are lawyers except Trump. Her and Berne have similar stances on many issues, but honestly, she probably has a better grasp on how to get her goals realized. Regarding Trump, I can't vote for Trump. He is a bully and having him as the leader of the US would do lasting harm to our international relationships. |

The system is meant to be rigged |

The primary is the only vote that really counts DJ. After that it's up to the electoral college. And yeah, Arizona has the same hybrid primary as Oklahoma. You just vote your party unless you register independant. Then and only then do you have a choice. I don't think I could in good conscience vote for either a Repub or Dem in this round if Hilary wins the nom. The people of this country need better choices to choose from. The two party system is clearly broken. I still believe the political machine will keep on turning no matter who gets elected into office. I just truly despise Hilary for the lies she told to the families of the dead soldiers in Bengazi. Over the dead bodies of their loved ones none the less. Despicable and just as repulsive as the leading opposition. |

Agreed, BG. Whether I end up voting for Hillary or not this November, it will be wasted as Oklahoma is such a red state that it will vote "R" regardless of their nominee. Electoral college is where it's at no doubt - Just look at 2000. |

Trump or Hillary. That is the best this country can do? We as a Republic are thoroughly fucked. America, sadly will get what it deserves. We have failed as a nation. |

It's a fucking joke AP1. If I was in the service I would not have any respect for Hilary as the Commander In Chief. |

Oh don't worry Blind, she won't. Trump may be a dimwitted assclown, but at least he respects us. |

Local elections took place in the UK today and it's sad to see the BBC basically saying what Rupert Murdoch wants them to. The media in this country is disgraceful. |

The Gov of Cali endorsed Hilary yesterday, so it's looking a lot like our choices are Hilary and Trump. "Meteor 2016. Just get it over with." |

There's also Gary Johnson. It would be interesting to see the coverage the Libertarians can get if the Kock brothers put their money behind him. It's hardly likely, but stranger things have happened this election cycle. I remember telling my brother back in September that Trump would flame out in a few months and low and behold he surprised a sh!tload of people by tapping into "MAHANGTA" demo (Mad As Hell And Not Gonna Take Anymore). Who knows how things will turn out with the dissatisfaction level at record highs for both Billary and Dump. People statistically tend to vote within their party, but the Berns and the Nevertrumps may not stick to the party. 5 months is an eternity in politics/media coverage and there is time for anything to happen including Hillary going negative with Trump and torpedo both of them with Johnson reaping the spoils. Again, not likely, but not outside the realm of possibility in this crazy election cycle. |

Hillary is fucking up. Period. I was almost gonna cave and give her the vote but she's already flip-flopped from attacking corporate America to taxing middle class. Am I throwing it away writing Bernie in? Yes, and I don't care |

GC, you very well may be invalidating your entire ballot with a write-in candidate. Write-ins are only allowed in Alabama, Delaware, Iowa, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Vermont, and Wyoming.
Also, the taxing middle class quote from Hillary may have been a case of poor diction: Personally, I'm holding out some hope that Trump craters enough to boost Gary Johnson as a valid choice. (I do realize that GJ's probability falls somewhere between a fat chance and a slim chance.) |

I thought this was funny, if not a bit scary in it's similarities.
The following list is from a website on child development.
Social and Emotional Development: Ages 8–10 (70 years old in President-Elect years)
Here’s the link to the original list for comparison. .. (This post was last edited on December 17, 2016 at 5:55 PM ET.) |
