Greetings all. Just wanted to introduce myself and say MU could be the kind of site I've been looking for: like-minded individuals with an appreciation of the same sort of music I love and, hopefully, a passion for intelligent, spirited debate on subjects inside and outside the realm of metal. Hi, I'm 15, I hope you lot won't crucify me if I show relative ignorance as I've been into metal for about 18 months, so don't expect me to have an encyclopedic knowledge of all the genres and sub-genres. The reason why I haven't been into metal long is mainly due to a lack of exposure. I didn't really pursue any massive interest in music before, but I grew more and more into metal, and now can't live without it. I signed up to try and find some more music, and hopefully contribute to this forum, however that may be. |

Ok so I'm new... erm I'm from the UK and I've only been into metal for about two years. Before then I was into random old stuff - AC/DC, Thin Lizzy, Led Zep etc but then I discovered the wonders of Black Sabbath and then onto Metallica! From there I heard Apocalyptica which took my music tastes to Scandinavian stuff so yeah... That''s my music life story in about 4 sentences! The one thing that really irritates me is when I tell people that I'm into metal and they assume that it's all a bunch of randomers screaming with no tune... which we all know is not true!!! |
