Brooklyn-based music blog The Bent Unit will be hosting the first annual Sludgefeast on November 15th. The 1-day celebration of metal, doom, sludge, noise, and psych will include headliners Naam and White Hills, along with 9 more bands rounding out the bill.
Moreover, Naam recently announced that this would be the band's last performance ever, meaning the final set of the night will also be the final set of a band that has truly carried the torch of heavy music in Brooklyn for the past 5+ years.
The organizer of the festival comments: "It will be sad to see them go, but we're happy to say that we'll see them out in the blaze of glory they truly deserve."

It's Not Night: It's Space
Brooklyn modern psychedelic band Naam has posted a series of European tour dates it will be heading out on after the free Bushwick block party in its hometown on July 28th. Billed "The Starchild Tour," it is in support of Naam's recent EP "The Ballad of the Starchild." That release came out on Tee Pee Records. After the tour dates is an upload of the song "Lands Unknown," which comes from the EP.

Orange Goblin has issued the following announcement about lining up U.S. shows:
"We are very happy to announce that Orange Goblin will be returning to the US to celebrate their 15th Anniversary with a full nationwide tour in May and June. Support on all dates (with the exception of Maryland Death Fest and Chicago) comes from Indianapolis doom metal heroes The Gates of Slumber and Brooklyn’s heavy psych-freaks NAAM.
"These tour dates will coincide with the US re-release of the first five Orange Goblin albums, recorded on Rise Above Records and made available in the US through Metal Blade. They will also be available as a limited edition box-set."

Los Angeles progressive post-metallers Intronaut have revealed that they will be appearing on select dates for the forthcoming "Metalliance Tour." The "Metalliance Tour" features headliners Helmet alongside Saint Vitus and Crowbar. Other special guests scheduled to appear include Kylesa, Howl, The Atlas Moth, Naam, and Royal Thunder.
