Naam Posts Tour Dates

Brooklyn modern psychedelic band Naam has posted a series of European tour dates it will be heading out on after the free Bushwick block party in its hometown on July 28th. Billed "The Starchild Tour," it is in support of Naam's recent EP "The Ballad of the Starchild." That release came out on Tee Pee Records. After the tour dates is an upload of the song "Lands Unknown," which comes from the EP.

Orange Goblin Announces U.S. Shows

Orange Goblin has issued the following announcement about lining up U.S. shows:

"We are very happy to announce that Orange Goblin will be returning to the US to celebrate their 15th Anniversary with a full nationwide tour in May and June. Support on all dates (with the exception of Maryland Death Fest and Chicago) comes from Indianapolis doom metal heroes The Gates of Slumber and Brooklyn’s heavy psych-freaks NAAM.

"These tour dates will coincide with the US re-release of the first five Orange Goblin albums, recorded on Rise Above Records and made available in the US through Metal Blade. They will also be available as a limited edition box-set."

Intronaut To Appear On Upcoming "Metalliance Tour"

UPDATE: This information was gleaned from listings on Ticketmaster.ca, which appear to be erroneous on several points, including specific tour dates. Furthermore, Intronaut has not confirmed participation in this tour and all listings on Ticketmaster.ca have since been removed, save one.

Los Angeles progressive post-metallers Intronaut have revealed that they will be appearing on select dates for the forthcoming "Metalliance Tour." The "Metalliance Tour" features headliners Helmet alongside Saint Vitus and Crowbar. Other special guests scheduled to appear include Kylesa, Howl, The Atlas Moth, Naam, and Royal Thunder. MetalSucks.net has announced two free compilations coming early next year, featuring underground bands from the ever growing New York City metal scene. Entitled "NYC Sucks," Volume 1 will contain 14 songs by as many bands and will be released on January 18th. Volume 2, containing 13 tracks, will be released on February 22nd. Both compilations will be available for download on MetalSucks, will contain high-quality 320kbps MP3s, and will include a PDF of digital liner notes with information about all the bands.
