The band will also take these damaging tunes out to audiences across the country on a wider scale in the coming weeks, as a newly-booked headlining tour is announced today. Following a short bout of downtime spent harvesting the dead, the masked mutants in Ghoul will return to the States for another round of live debauchery on this year's Weapons Of Mosh Destruction trek, now in astounding 3-D!
The three-dimensional beatings will commence on May 15th in Denver, Colorado and rampage its way through three weeks' worth of dates including a stop at the Maryland Death Fest in Baltimore.
Ghoul will be joined by California grind miscreants, Phobia, and Ohio scumsmiths, Necrofilth. 3-D glasses not included. As a precursor to the fetid festivities, the band will also contaminate the stage of the Rockbar Theater in San Jose, California as part of Kirk Von Hammett's Fear FestEvil alongside Meshuggah, High On Fire, Agnostic Front and more.
Comments Ghoul's Digestor: "Greetings, numbskulls! It is I, Digestor, announcing that Ghoul is once again coming to your wretched country to cleanse it of the gutter trash that litter your streets and our shows. We are joined in this effort by legendary grinders Phobia, and sleaze masters Nekrofilth: two bands that we will no doubt miss after we are forced to murder and eat them at the end of the tour. And this time we are doing it all in 3-D, mainly because it allows us to charge more at the door. So, accept your fate, prostrate yourself in front of the altar of Ghoul, and die by the manifold murderous machinations of Weapons Of Mosh Destruction 3-D!" More...

After a short touring break following a massive assault with Napalm Death and Municipal Waste, gore metal purveyors Exhumed will take sonic raucousness to the streets once again this week.
This time the road warriors will be systematically blasting their home state of California alongside grind cohorts Phobia - the frenzy will begin tomorrow, February 15th in Lancaster, followed by beatings in San Diego, San Luis Obispo, Fullerton, Ventura, Santa Cruz, Modesto, Lake Tahoe and San Francisco on the nine city assault.
Stated Exhumed's Matt Harvey on the affair: “We haven't played a show in... well; it's been over a month, so things have been way too quiet. So we're psyched to get into some of the nooks and crannies of the golden state with our old buddies in Phobia. We've totally re-vamped our set, and we'll be rolling out a track from the new record this time around as well, so the show will be all new even for our friends and family locally who've been subjected to our racket a few times recently already. We've been talking about getting on the road with Shane the pain and crew for a long time, so this little jaunt is well overdue. We hope to see a bunch of mutants, maniacs, earth dogs, rivet heads, gorehounds, toe cutters and eye gougers out there on the road! Cheers!" More...
California gore lords Exhumed will return to the road this February alongside grind behemoths Phobia. The short West Coast beat down will commence February 15th in Lancaster, California and conclude February 23 in San Francisco.
The latest stretch of dates follows Exhumed’s maniacal run with Napalm Death and Municipal Waste at the end of the year, which was met with a host of hurdles including being denied entry into Canada and vehicular failure that left them temporarily stranded in Alabama. Comments vocalist/guitarist Matt Harvey:
“As happy as we were to get home for the holidays, we thought we should make time to hang out with our old friends in Phobia and grind through our home state of California. We had so much fun playing out-of-the-way places during the impromptu one-off dates we did during the Napalm Death/Municipal Waste tour, we thought we would hit some nooks and crannies back home that we haven't played in years. Plus, we'll get a chance to get a bunch of our buddies' bands on the bill like POOR, Gravehill, DIS and Mortuous. We've been itching to play some stuff from the new album live and we're working out a seriously revamped setlist for this one, so come on out California! Let's have a few beers, let it loose, and get weird!" More...

Adds D.I.S. guitarist Bruce Reeves: “This should be an amazing run of shows! D.I.S. is really looking forward to pummeling the East with our grinding brothers (and sister) in Phobia as well as Strong Intention. Legendary grind merchants Phobia are set to scathe the masses with their fifth studio offering, "Remnants of Filth," this June. Produced and mixed by Scott Hull (Pig Destroyer, Agoraphobic Nosebleed) at Visceral Sound Studios in Bethesda, Maryland and engineered by Mike Harrison at Winter Skies Productions in San Antonio, Texas, "Remnants Of Filth" offers up 18 pile-driving, socio-political grind hymns in 19 minutes.
Slated to drop on June 5th through Willowtip Records, the band –- vocalist Shane “The Pain” Mclachlan, bassist Calum MacKenzie, drummer Bryan Fajardo and guitarists Dorian Rainwater and CC Loessin – have crafted one of the most punishing efforts of their winding discography of wrath.
Comments Mclachlan of the offering: “Remnants Of Filth is a brutal, in-depth grind record that I feel represents what this band is all about, from past to present. This is total brutal grindcore at its best with nothing less than the 100% punk-as-fuck attitude to compliment what this band is all about!”

Death is just the beginning, so says the title of Nuclear Blast’s compilation series. In the case of The Goregrowler’s Ball 5, death was just the beginning on Friday. Once Sunday, the third and final day of the fest arrived, many were feeling death was never ending. After three days of having one’s body blasted by the hardest, fastest and loudest music known to man, a headache or two afflicted more than one of the band members and ticket purchasers. Due to little seating, the vendors claimed most of the seating inside, many found a curb or fence to rest their ailing backs and feet.
Those taking in all three days were not about to give in to their fatigue, though. While just about everyone took occasional retreats to the parking lot to recharge at their cars (and party), most third-day attendees hung in to the very end. These metal warriors conjured the strength to bang bodies (even after massive bruising) one more time during Suffocation’s closing set.
Unfortunately, the number of purchases at the door was significantly less than the first two days. Hirax and Brutal Truth made climatic performances. Even before taking in our first act of the day, The Goregrowler’s Ball lone stoner/doom band, Pill Crusher, we felt something was amiss. According to a post on promoter Aaron Mendiola’s Facebook page, Sunday continued the trend of the previous days with a headcount fewer than 100 paying customers. The number of band members, vendors and sponsors gave the false impression of more money being exchanged. Because of the poor turn out, bands weren’t paid, a custom guitar was taken away from its raffle and raffle ticket holders weren’t refunded their money, and bands cancelled. More...
Ibex Moon records, one of America's premiere outlets for black and death metal, will be giving away CDs to the first 100 gore fiends to enter the Goregrowler Ball's blood-stained premises. This brutal grab bag will be offered on all three days, so make sure to show up early.
The Metal Underground-sponsored event takes place November 18th-20th at the Korova Club in San Antonio, Texas. Make sure to come out and have your eardrums bashed in by such vaunted artists as Suffocation, Exhumed, Solstice, Nokturnel, Havok, Phobia, Brutal Truth and Goatwhore.
Phobia has issued the following announcement about recording new material for an upcoming split 7" album:
"Phobia recording for a new split 7" and for a 4 way 7" in a few days! We will be recording for a split 7" with Jesus cross and a killer for way with PLF, suffering minds and audio kollapse. These are long over do but with our awesome studio capability in Texas we will be knocking them out while on the last few days of this tour with eye hate god!"
NOLA slude act EyeHateGod kicks off its new tour tonight in Birmingham, Alabama at the Bottletree. From there the band will make its way through 13 more cities before heading back home in time for holiday hedonism. Supporting the band in the pandemonium will be Phobia, as well as Crowbar, Goatwhore, and Zoroaster on select dates.
Commented vocalist Mike Williams: "EyeHateGod are excited to head out on this next USA trek and ready to do damage. EHG tours are one of a kind; each unique with its own abusive, miserable, broken features. Miss them now and maybe miss them forever..."
Added drummer Joey LaCaze: "The band is probably the tightest its ever been and different, more obscure songs have been added to the traditional set of all-time favorites. Get in the right frame of mind and vent all of your holiday frustrations."
