Leng Tch'e Recording Album

Footage has been posted online of Leng Tch'e performing live in Japan, which can be viewed below, and the band also comments about recording a new album:

"Another year gone by. A little older and none the wiser. More stages destroyed, eardrums pierced, brain cells annihilated, friendships made and Japan finally conquered after 12 years of spreading the razorgrind worldwide.

"A new full length album is being recorded as we speak and will see the light of day in the coming year. In the meantime, enjoy the last song of the last show of our last tour. We couldn't have done any of this without the support of you guys, our dear fans. Party hard and see you all on the road in 2014!" More...

Leng Tch'e To Record New Album

Belgium's Leng Tch'e has checked in with the following statement about gearing up to work on a new album in 2013:

"Well apart from a bunch of New Age authors laughing all the way to the bank, the world is still the same as yesterday. A beautiful place occasionally ruined by assholes. But that doesn't mean 2012 wasn't a great year for us!

"We started off by joining Origin and Psycroptic for the most brutal tour of the year, followed by a succesful summer festival season. Serge still doesn't remember half of what happened at Obscene Extreme Festival.

"This year also marks the 10th anniversary of our debut album 'Death by a Thousand Cuts.' Yes we are getting old. And yes, it's still sold out.

"But that's not all, we're nearly finished with the songwriting of our next album! Pre-production will start in February and hopefully we can finish our next masterpiece of brutally grooving grindcore by summertime. Which means we'll bring this retarded circus back on the road in late 2013."

Leng Tch'e Signs To Season Of Mist

Belgian grindcore band LENG TCH'E has announced their signing to Season of Mist. The "razorgrind" band just finished recording their upcoming album at Parlour Studio in Kettering, UK with producer Russ Russell.

"We are very delighted and proud to be joining Season of Mist", bassist Nicolas comments. "Being added to the same roster as Morbid Angel, Dillinger Escape Plan, Mayhem, Cynic and other greats is a huge opportunity and extremely motivating and exciting.

"Leng Tch'e clearly needs a label with an open mind when it comes to extreme music, Season of Mist definitely meets this criterion. That's why we feel it's a compliment that Season of Mist owner Michael Berberian absolutely loved the new Leng Tch'e material. This, together with his modern and realistic vision on the music industry, made him the obvious choice to be working with." More...

Leng Tch'e Begins Work On New Album

Belgian death metal/ grindcore outfit Leng Tch'e has announced that they have begun work on their next studio album. A message from the band reads as follows:

"So it's been a while since our last update but that's because we've been crazy busy playing shows (UK Deathfest, Neurotic Deathfest, Gore Galore Fest, Suffering Life Fest - they all kicked ass) and writing songs for the next album. That's right, I said it! We currently have 14 songs ready for a total playing time of 35 minutes. The plan is to record drums at the end of this month, guitars and bass next month and vocals in September. Then it's off to England to mix and master that sucker with grindcore producer extraordinaire Russ Russell (NAPALM DEATH, BRUJERIA, VENOMOUS CONCEPT)! We couldn't be more stoked. The new material is fast, brutal and with that extra touch of Leng Tch'e special sauce that made "Marasmus" a heavy metal landmark, ha! Expect a release somewhere late 2009 / early 2010."

Leng Tch'e Replaces Singer

Leng Tch'e singer Boris Cornelissen has decided to leave the band. Cornelissen has issued the following:

"After four of the coolest and craziest years of my life, I've decided to quit my activities in Leng Tch'e. A difficult decision, considering the fact that I really loved the shows/touring and hanging out with these guys. However, I came to a point in my life where other things start to matter. I don't have the energy and commitment anymore that I used to have, so the time has come to part ways with Leng Tch'e. For me it feels like ending a long term relationship and I think it will feel really strange knowing they will go on without me. Nevertheless, I know this is a well considered decision and wish them all the best in the future. Leng Tch'e has made me who I am today. Thanks for that!"

A replacement has been found in Serge Kasongo (Ackros), about whom the band states: "Serge blew us away right from the start and we are sure that he will take the band to new heights."
