Montreal metallers NEURAXIS have posted the following message at their official MySpace page:
"Attention to all the promoters, bands and fans: earlier this year, Neuraxis had agreed to take part in a US tour alongside BENEATH THE MASSACRE and VICTIMAS which was to take place for late July/early August. In late June it was decided that we had to cancel our participation on this tour. We had advised the tour promoter of our decision. There was several reasons we could not do this tour:
With a month to go before the tour was to start, we had only received half of the confirmed dates. We felt this was not enough time to properly promote and spread the word about this tour.
Neuraxis did not have work permits to enter the US to tour. This would mean we would have to attempt to pass through with a false reason. Neuraxis has done this before in the past and it is a very stressful situation because the US border is very strict and its always a 50/50 chance we could be denied, add to that if we are caught lying we could be permanently banned from entering the US (including our vehicle). The band will embark on a US tour this April/May alongside Necrophagist, Arsis, Alarum, Cattle Decapitation, Thine Eyes Bleed."

Montreal's Neuraxis have announced the departure of guitarist and founding member, Steven Henry. The move is the result of "personal and musical differences," though the band emphatically states that the split is amicable. The group will continue as a 4-piece with intentions to recruit a live session guitarist for their upcoming tours. For his part, Henry has released the following statement:
"After 13 years as guitarist and founder of Neuraxis, I decided to take a different path. It's simple, the flame of playing Neuraxis is extinct, and gone are the motivation and taste for it. These things happen, especially when I did not expect the band to go as far as it has gone up to now, so it would be ridiculous for me to slow Neuraxis down. I don't want to be a burden, what I want is the band to grow bigger and I don't think I'm part of that equation. I definitely need a break and Neuraxis cannot afford to lose its time waiting for me. There are way too many good things ahead for the band, and I do not worry at all that Neuraxis will do great without me. I wish nothing but the best for the guys, and also that they'll find another talented and dedicated guitar player. I want to thank the guys for their time, friendship and passion for music. I wish them the best! As for me, I'll keep going with my 3 projects: Urban Aliens, Idiopathetics and Empathy Denied."
