Neuraxis Confirms Details for New Video

Montreal’s NEURAXIS have confirmed details for the band’s upcoming video shoot for the track “Darkness Prevails” from the recently-released record, "The Thin Line Between." The video will be directed by Chris Alsop of fellow Canadians Torn Within and filmed August 12, just prior to the band’s departure for Summer Slaughter Canada. Photos from the shoot should be available next week, with the finished, edited video available shortly thereafter both online and at video outlets.

“‘Darkness Prevails’ will be a performance video, capturing the essence of intensity that Neuraxis delivers in a live event,” guitarist Rob Milley says. “Now that the new album is out, we’re looking forward to playing the Summer Slaughter Canada Tour, so come out early as Neuraxis plays fifth out of nine bands. See you there!”

Hitting streets July 22, "The Thin Line Between" is NEURAXIS’ fifth full-length and first for new home, Prosthetic Records. It features the studio debuts of new NEURAXIS members guitarist William Seghers and vocalist Alex Leblanc. An online e-card, featuring several songs from the album, is online and available here, while the band posted several video clips on the NEURAXIS MySpace page featuring in-studio recording and behind the scenes footage.

Neuraxis on Montreal Radio, Download Available

Montreal radio station CHOM 97.7 FM recently featured a piece on NEURAXIS on the show "The Metal File." Guitarist Rob Milley makes an appearance on the podcast talking about the band's forthcoming album, "The Thin Line Between," and CHOM plays several songs from the album.

Neuraxis Releases New Song Online

Canada's technical death metal warlords Neuraxis have unleashed the track "Darkness Prevails" on the band's MySpace page. The song is from their forthcoming Prosthetic Records debut, "The Thin Line Between," which is due July 22nd. The album was recorded by Jeff Fortin (Anonymus) and the band in February and March of this year and features guest vocals from Luc Lemay (Gorguts). Art comes from Dennis Sibejin (Chimaira, Job For A Cowboy). Look for a major tour announcement shortly.

Neuraxis Offers Studio Webisode #3, Album Art

Canada’s NEURAXIS has issued the band’s latest webisode video clip entitled “NEURAXIS Studio Episode #3 – vocals and bass,” featuring footage and interviews from the recording of the band’s fifth studio record. Footage is available online at the band’s MySpace page. NEURAXIS tapped Jef Fortin (of fellow Canadians Anonymus) to record the band’s debut album for Prosthetic Records, "The Thin Line Between," which will also feature a guest vocal cameo from the legendary Luc Lemay (Gorguts, Negativa). Cover artwork for "The Thin Line Between" is available here.

"The writing and recording process for "The Thin Line Between" was probably the most intense I've ever experienced,” says guitarist Rob Milley. “Sound-wise this is going to be our best so far. Song-wise, it’s our most complete album to date."

“I'm very happy with how the guitar playing was captured,” added fellow guitarist Will Seghers says. “Precise, vicious and dynamic are words that come to my mind when hearing the new album." More excerpts are available in the webisode.

Neuraxis, Fuck the Facts, Gross Misconduct To Tour

Neuraxis, Fuck the Facts and Gross Misconduct will be touring Canada this June. Tour dates confirmed so far are in western Canada.

Gross Misconduct have stated on their web site that they "are working on dates to fill out the remainder of June by ourselves. We plan to hit up Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec."

Summer Slaughter Canada Line Up Announced

On August 15, NECROPHAGIST, DYING FETUS, BENEATH THE MASSACRE, INTO ETERNITY, NEURAXIS, WHITECHAPEL, VEIL OF MAYA, DIVINITY and COMMON GRAVE will join forces in Quebec to start Summer Slaughter Canada, which is expected to go throughout the country from East to West ending in Vancouver tentatively on August 27. Cities and Venues are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Neuraxis Enters The Studio To Record New Album

Canadian tech-thrashers NEURAXIS will enter the studio February 19 with producer Jef Fortin (of fellow Canadians Anonymous) to record the band’s fifth studio album. The recording process will be done in late March and is scheduled to be mastered by Alan Douches (Mastodon, Converge, Shadows Fall), and will feature artwork from Dennis Sibeijn of Damnengine Art (Job For A Cowboy, Chimaira). The yet-untitled effort should see a July release through Prosthetic Records.

"We feel this album will be something monumental for NEURAXIS,” says guitarist Rob Milley. “With the new line-up and the energy we have created in the writing sessions, it’s something that is new and refreshing, yet still retains a lot of the essence of what NEURAXIS has built since day one."

The new album will be the first studio album featuring new vocalist Alex Leblanc and guitarist William Seghers, both having appeared on the recently released "Live Progression," via Galy Records. "Live Progression" is the live follow-up to NEURAXIS’ last studio album, 2005's "Trilateral Progression." More details, tour dates, and regular in-studio footage updates will be available shortly. Neuraxis Signs To Prosthetic Records

Prosthetic Records is proud to announce the addition of Canadian progressive death metal band NEURAXIS to the label's roster. The band will tentatively release its Prosthetic debut in mid-2008. "The search for our new label is now over," guitarist Rob Milley comments. "Neuraxis is excited to be joining the Prosthetic Records family. We are working hard on finishing the new album and looking forward to touring like madmen next year!"

Neuraxis Announce New Vocalist

Montreal based NEURAXIS have announced that vocalist Alex Leblanc (ATHERETIC, POINT BLANK RAGE) has joined as permanent member of the band. The band comments:

"After completing the European Domination tour, we knew Alex was the right man for the job. His vocals were crushing, and he displayed a very intense energy both onstage and offstage. We look forward to Alex contributing to the writing of our next album."

Neuraxis Begins Work On New Album

Montreal based Neuraxis has began the writing process for their next album. Guitarist Rob Milley comments: "We are only in the beginning stages but already it can be said that our new material is feeling more progressive and dynamic and at the same time we are making sure it will continue to be as vicious and brutal as ever. Everyone is excited to see where this new chapter will take us. We will keep you all updated as the songwriting progresses."

Malevolent Creation Complete Preproduction

Malevolent Creation has completed the writing and pre production demos for 13 songs and will begin the recording of their 10th full length album "DOOMSDAY X" in the coming weeks of November.

"We're very happy with the direction the music has taken for this new album with song writing credit's by each of the band members, and each song having it's own identity but retaining the classic Malevolent Creation sound," The band said in its release. "It is truly amazing to have everyone writing for this album and bring's a lot of new idea's to the songs. Fear not, each song is extremely brutal and covers a lot of territory as far as extreme metal is concerned. We have definitely had some huge obstacles to overcome to get this album written, but we are finally satisfied with all the music and are anxious to start recording."
