Below is our complete Rings Of Saturn news coverage, including columns and articles pertaining to the band. Some articles listed may be indirectly related, such as side projects of the band members, etc.
Bay Area tech-death outfit Rings Of Saturn has unveiled the initial single from upcoming third full-length album, "Lugal Ki En," through a conceptual 3-D video for the album's opening track, "Senseless Massacre." Check it out below, thanks to Metal Injection.
The newly constructed "Senseless Massacre" video was directed and edited by Alex T. Reinhard and shot and produced by Brooke Brennan, both of Brutal Productions, and features visual effects courtesy of Harsh Wayne Enterprises.
The video was also constructed with 3-D viewing enabled via Youtube player settings, though 3-D glasses are required to delve into the other dimension full-on. Comments founding guitarist Lucas Mann of the track:
"'Senseless Massacre' is the first debut single off of Rings Of Saturn's new album, Lugal Ki En, on Unique Leader Records. The music video depicts the band as aliens (full-black eyes) performing on alien-like instruments (Etherial Guitars) with their vocalist, Ian Bearer, being abducted and tortured in extraterrestrial machinery. After being tortured and experimented on, his blood turns blue at the end of the video showing that he has transformed and is no longer human. This conveys the idea that aliens could already be living along side us without the general population being aware of it."
"Lugal Ki En" will see worldwide impact via Unique Leader Records this October, in North America on the 14th and in Europe on the 17th. More...
Bay Area aliencore outfit Rings of Saturn will unleash a forthcoming new full-length this October 14th via Unique Leader Records.
Titled "Lugal Ki En," the twelve-track offering was produced by Brette Ciamarra at Studio 344 (Kamikabe, Those Who Fear, Trophies et al) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and features the drum prowess of Black Tongue/Infant Annihilator basher Aaron Kitcher, guest solo work by Day Of Reckoning guitarist Rusty Cooley, and custom artwork by Mark Cooper of Mind Rape Art, who crafted the band’s seminal "Dingir" cover.
Comments guitarist Lucas Mann of the album concept, “The concept of the album in a nutshell is that long after the Aliens conquer humanity, they evolve to a point where they transcend space, time and reality to take their conquest into the realm of the gods where they wage war on angels and demons. The album title Lugal Ki En translates from ancient Sumerian cuneiform to mean ‘King Of The Earthlings, Lord Of The Cosmic World.’ The Sumerian cuneiform is visible behind the English pronunciation of the album title.”
The track listing will be as follows:
1. Senseless Massacre
2. Desolate Paradise
3. Lalassu Xul
4. Infused (Feat. Rusty Cooley)
5. Fractal Intake
6. Natural Selection
8. Godless Times
9. Unsympathetic Intellect
11. The Heavens Have Fallen
12. No Pity For A Coward (Suicide Silence cover) More...
Bay Area technical death metal outfit Rings Of Saturn recently completed work on a forthcoming new full-length.
Set for release this Fall via Unique Leader Records, the record was produced by Brette Ciamarra at Studio 344 (Kamikabe, Those Who Fear, Trophies et al) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The album features the drum prowess of Black Tongue/Infant Annihilator basher Aaron Kitcher, guest solo work by Day Of Reckoning guitarist Rusty Cooley, and custom artwork by Mark Cooper of Mind Rape Art.
The offering also boasts a vicious cover of "No Pity For A Coward" from California deathcore merchants Suicide Silence, in honor of late frontman, Mitch Lucker.
Comments guitarist Lucas Mann of the forthcoming release, "We are very pleased with the final outcome of the new album and are looking forward to unleashing it on our fans in the coming months! Through a group writing effort, we have taken a new and exciting direction with this album while still staying true to the brutal, technical, and overwhelming sound that Rings Of Saturn fans enjoy. We are looking forward to all the feedback from everyone, as well as hitting the road again on tour with the new material." More...

Rings of Saturn has checked in with the following announcement about parting ways with the band's drummer and working on a new album:
"Our drummer, Jesse Beahler, has made the decision to leave Rings of Saturn in order to put all his concentration into his other band Black Crown Initiate. It was awesome touring with him, and we wish him the best of luck in his future musical endeavors!
"Despite this unfortunate news, we also want to announce that we are officially working on a new record! Because of our drum situation, Aaron Kitcher from Black Tongue and Infant Annihilator has agreed to do the drums on our 3rd album. We are SUPER excited about this and feel that his input will really blow peoples minds on our new material.
"Aaron will not be joining the band because he is already committed to two very active bands. So, we ARE looking for a touring drummer who can play material from Embryonic Anomaly, Dingir, and will be down to learn songs from the new record so we can hit the road on tours to support the upcoming release.
"If you are an epic drummer who is up for this, send some play through videos our way!"

Rings of Saturn has checked in with the following announcement about recruiting a new drummer:
"Jesse Beahler, of Jungle Rot, will be joining Rings of Saturn as a full time member starting in June on our Canadian Tour with The Faceless and Within the Ruins, and also on The Summer Slaughter Tour!
"Our previous drummer, Ian Baker, was busy with previous obligations and wasn't able be apart of our upcoming schedule. We want to thank him for being a part of the band, and we wish him the best of luck in his future musical endeavors and otherwise! Below Jesse jams out to Peeling Arteries, which is part of our set for the Summer Slaughter Tour \m/
"Many of you guys have asked what happened to our online store because we previously mentioned that it would be up again when we returned from the Despise the World Tour with Suffocation. The store is run DIY by the band, and at this moment we are simply too busy to manage it and put it back up at this time due the crazy amount of orders we receive while it is active. American death metal legends Suffocation have announced that they will be embarking on a tour of North America this April in what is being dubbed the "Despise The World" tour.
Joining them on the trek will be Exhumed, Jungle Rot, Rings Of Saturn, Adimiron and on select dates, Lord Of War. The tour is in support of the new Suffocation album, "The Pinnacle of Bedlam," which was released this past week through Nuclear Blast Records.
Speaking about the tour, the band stated: "The Pinnacle of Bedlam is approaching! Together with Exhumed, Jungle Rot, Rings Of Saturn, Adimiron, and Lord Of War we will tip the scales of degradation. Fans can prepare to see us performing old and new songs with surgical precision. The hooded messenger of death is now set forth!"
The tour dates are as follows: More...
Rings of Saturn has posted the full "Dingir" album online for streaming, which can be heard in the player below, and the band also commented:
"Here is the official album version of Dingir streamed in high quality. There are many reasons as to why we decided to stream our new album in its entirety before its scheduled release date. One big reason is because we are dealing with legal issues right now which unfortunately WILL push back the release date of Dingir from Nov. 20th to Feb. 5th.
"The second reason is that a very poor quality, unfinished, and unmastered, pre-production version of our album went viral across many metal blog spots, torrent sites, and youtube this morning. It is unclear whether the original poster thought that the pre-production version of the album was the actual album, or if the original poster leaked it maliciously. In any case, If you guys are going to listen to a leaked version of our album, we would much rather you listen and jam out to the ACTUAL high quality finished album, rather than a low quality unfinished product. If you DID happen to upload the pre pro version to your Youtube channel (chances are that you did since our video is the first video of the actual finished album) we ask that you please take it down now that the actual album is up streaming because we don't want to confuse people.
"The third reason is that we know you are all tired of waiting for this, we are also EQUALLY tired of waiting, and we know that our true fans will continue to support the band, pre order our album, buy our merch, and come out to our shows. If you ARE in fact a true fan of Rings of Saturn, or you like what you are hearing, or you want to see us come to your town our city, then you will share this video EVERYWHERE, you will show all of your friends, and you will pre order and actually still buy our album when it does come out on Feb. 5th because a band's first week album sales dictate what tours the band gets on, what slots they get, and where they are able to go.
"If you want to see us play in Europe, or Australia, or come back to Canada, or back to your state, then you will pre order Dingir or pick up your copy within the first week of its release. We are only able to keep doing this because of your guys support. We will keep everyone posted on pre-orders and new merch from this page. Again the new release date for Dingir is Feb. 5th and remember, SHARE THIS VIDEO and Enjoy!" More...
