Burst To Record New Album In April

Sweden’s BURST have posted the following update:

“So yeah yeah yeah, I know it’s getting old, but we are still busy. It’s all for the best. Songs for our coming album are almost completed, and right now we are polishing and scrutinizing and paying attention to even the smallest of details. We are confident that the end result will be worth all our work and end up in an album that be the absolutely most accomplished effort we’ve ever been able to squeeze from our system. Recording will start in April."

"But, in the meantime we will perform one or two domestic gigs:"

"First up, we’ve been given the opportunity to play the northern swedish town of Umeå. The Amplified Festival will feature us playing alongside bands like SOUNDTRACK OF OUR LIVES, CULT OF LUNA and a bunch of indie rock. Saturday the 26th of January is the date, and we’re aiming at performing one or two of our new puppies there. Hope you’ll enjoy." More...

Burst Cancel Eurosonic Appearance

Sweden's BURST has issued the following update:

"We have had to cancel the Eurosonic appearance [in Groningen, Netherlands in early January], as well as the Tilburg show, for grave personal issues, despite flights booked and paid for, et al."

"It totally sucks. The amount of gravel we have dug through to try and make it to
Holland is not only disproportional, it is in fact insane."

"We will however do the shows we agreed to do to finance the Holland shows, i.e. the Amplified festival in Umeå at the end of January, Sweden and Inferno festival in Oslo, Norway in March."

"All focus on the next record. Studio is being booked for beginning of April."

Burst Complete New Video

Burst have completed shooting a video for "Where the Wave Broke," the lead-off track from the bands new record Origo.

Drummer Patrik Hultin comments, "The video shoot for 'Where The Wave Broke' was all in all a great experience. To have someone outside the band visualize our music was a new experience for us. To let go of a song and let someone else interpret it gives everything an entirely new feel, and judging from the sneek-peeks we´ve gotten, the end result will be stark, intense, and suggestive. Peter and Kim (Reinholdsson and Petersen, the video directors/producers of Harvest Light) and their dedicated crew really went out of their way with this."

Exclusive still shots of the video shoot can be viewed here. The video, the first from Origo and the band 's second overall, will make its international debut in November.
