Maxxxwell Carlisle has released a video for "Full Metal Thunder," the title track from his latest EP.
Directed by Lord Zane of Society 1 (Zane also directed last year's "Power Angel" video from Carlisle), the video features the current Maxxxwell Carlisle line-up of Michael Yancy (vocals), Dave Chedrick (drums), Nick Laux (bass) and Carlisle (guitars).
The "Full Metal Thunder" EP was released May 3rd on Power Dungeon Music and features guest solos by Rick Renstrom (Rob Rock, Mistheria) and The Iron Maidens guitarist Nita Strauss.
Just five months after the release of his previous EP, "Visions of Victory," Los Angeles based shredder Maxxxwell Carlisle has announced that his follow-up album, "Full Metal Thunder," will be released digitally on April 3rd via Power Dungeon Music with a physical CD release to follow on May 3rd.
The five song EP features guest solos by Nita Strauss (The Iron Maidens, Consume the Fire, Femme Fatale) and Rick Renstrom (Rob Rock, Mistheria). The EP also features a new vocalist, Michael Yancy on all tracks.
Regarding the recording process Maxxxwell Carlisle says, "This release really came together well...everything fits perfectly. I met Michael Yancy backstage at the Whisky a couple years ago and we hit it off and I knew we had to do some songs together. He brings a great energy and attitude to the songs. On top of that, Nita and Rick totally kicked the project up a notch. Rick has been in the scene for a while and you can hear that confidence and experience in his playing. Nita totally impressed me. I think this style of metal really highlights her chops and lets people know that she's more than just a pretty face and that she can shred with the best."
Power Dungeon Music, Maxxxwell's label, has also announced that there is a video in the works (Matt Zane from Society 1 directing) for the title track and that it will be released sometime following the physical CD in May. More...

Maxxxwell Carlisle, the Los Angeles based shredder and solo artist, has announced that Lord Zane, frontman of Society 1, will be directing the video for the title track of his upcoming EP, "Power Angel."
The video's release will coincide with the EP's digital release, set for November 28th, 2012 through Power Dungeon Music. Maxxxwell Carlisle comments:
"I saw Society 1's last video 'Kill Me' on youtube and when I found out that he had directed it, that was it. I knew he was the guy for the job. I want someone who can put that level of intensity into their work and that's the kind of power and energy that I want to come across in this video. I've got some great people playing on these songs and I want something that will do the EP and that opening track justice. Zane and I have been working on the details over the past couple of months and I'm confident he can deliver what I'm looking for."
