Dark Tranquility Replaces Soilwork At Dong 2013

Germany's Dong Open Air 2013 will take place during this upcoming July 11th - 13th, with full details available at the festival's website.

Fans wanting to see Soilwork perform in support of latest album "The Living Infinite" (reviewed here) will be disappointed to know the band has now pulled out of the festival.

However, the organizers of the fest have announced Dark Tranquility will be stepping in to replace Soilwork. Dark Tranquility's new album "Construct" is due out on May 27th in Europe and on May 28th in North America via Century Media Records.

Elvenpath Splits With Drummer

Elvenpath has issued the following announcement about parting ways with drummer Boldie von Herbolder:

"New drummer wanted: due to personal differences, Elvenpath and Boldie decided to walk separate ways from here on. He will still fulfill drum duties for the forthcoming gigs though. We wish him all the best and are looking for a new drummer!"

The band also recently announced a live interview to be conducted online this Friday, April 15th.

Elvenpath Announces Live Interview

Elvenpath has issued the following announcement about holding a live online interview on Friday, April 15th:

"The album was released as planned and reactions so far are almost entirely positive. You'll find all the reviews on our website pretty soon.

"And should you need some entertainment for next Friday, we have the solution: Turn on your PC and visit metal-only.de the best online radio dedicated to metal. On April 15th there will be a feature on Elvenpath from 10 pm till midnight (CET) including a live interview and several songs. Be there!"

Elvenpath Streaming Entire New Album

Elvenpath has issued the following brief announcement about streaming the band's entire upcoming self-titled album online:

"New songs online: our entire new album is now available for your ears on our myspace site. Hope you'll enjoy the songs - watch out for the release on March 26th."

Elvenpath Issues New Album Update

Elvenpath has issued the following update about the band's upcoming new album:

"Dear friends of steel, after months of labor I can now announce that work on our new album is almost finished. A few more days until it will be sent off for manufacturing.

"Nine songs await you, an awesome production forged once again by the skillful hands of Kai Stahlenberg (Kohlekeller Studios), a few guest appearances by Uwe Lulis (Rebellion) and Quimby Lewis (Skullview) and a beautiful cover artwork by Markus Vesper which you can already behold at our website.

"Our new album, simply entitled 'Elvenpath,' will be released on March 26th - and on that day we'll also play our release show. The place to be is the Elfer Music Club in Frankfurt, our buddies Dragonsfire will play with us and admission will be no more than 5 euros. So come along, we want to rock and celebrate together with you!"

Elvenpath Recording New Album

Elvenpath has issued the following brief announcement about commencing the recording of a new album: "Today marks the beginning of our new album's recordings. At Kohlekeller studios we're working on our new songs which should be available in spring. Stay tuned." Elvenpath To Record New Album

Germany's Elvenpath has issued the following statement about lining up new shows and recording a new album:

"Hello everybody, we'll do three more shows in September and October, please check out our concert section for details and show up! Afterwards we'll enter the studio to record the new album which the entire world is so desperately waiting for. Expect a release in spring and stay tuned! Best Metal regards."
