The Acacia Strain is pleased to announce the band has self released a new song on iTunes and Amazon.com today entitled "Servant In The Place of Truth." With The Acacia Strain's recent signing to Rise Records, the band wanted to put out something new in between labels for fans to enjoy. A preview of the song can be heard via Amazon.
"As you can see, we aren't changing at all, only working harder to write the best tunes that we are proud of that the fans enjoy." states guitarist Daniel "DL" Laskiewicz. "We are really stoked on this song and are glad people are liking it."
The band will continue to write and will be recording over the next few months with a release scheduled for October on Rise Records. Daniel "DL" Laskiewicz will be producing, engineering, and mixing the album in his studio in Western Mass. The band just got off of a weeklong run that ended at the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival.
Now that the band members are home, they have their first get together this week to get the ball rolling for this new release. Vocalist, Vincent Bennet says "You all love DL, so it makes sense for us to go ahead and do the album this way and keep it heavy right from the source of where this all comes from. We are still here, talking to you, doing what we have always done. This is such a great time for this band, you have no idea."
Victory recording artists Emmure will join the already-stacked lineup of the 14th Annual New England Metal and Hardcore Festival on Sunday, April 22nd.

Emmure will join a lineup of more than 75 bands, from Billboard-charting artists and festival veterans to new acts and future stars of the genre, as the 14th Annual New England Metal and Hardcore Festival takes over the Palladium in Worcester, Mass., the weekend of April 20th through April 22nd.
A camera crew will be on hand this year to document the show for an upcoming film focusing on the history of the festival, behind the scenes footage and the development of the show. The documentary will be produced by Manny Santiago from Crimson Media and sponsored by Shook Clothing. More...

For the past few years, your best bet to catch Lamb of God has been at an amphitheater or arena on a massive stage on a package tour.
But the gods of metal have smiled upon the East Coast as the Virginia band hit six small clubs this month to roll out their speaker-shattering latest disc, “Resolution.” I was among the lucky thousand or so packed into the Paradise in Boston this week and witnessed first-hand the band’s raw force. They slayed – simple and plain.
Massachusetts’ own The Acacia Strain opened with a grinding set of chugging, angry hardcore that brought the club to a near riot. I last saw these guys on Warped tour last summer when towering vocalist Vincent Bennett terrified the Ashleys and Tylers and scared the eyeliner off the emo kids. More...
