Zed is pleased to announce that new album "Trouble in Eden" will be released worldwide August 26th on Ripple Music. The band had this to say:
"We are proud to be part of the Ripple family and to be among such great talent! With the announcement we have shared a teaser video with some new audio! We spent a year writing and four months recording this beast! We started in Pasadena at the Barnshelter Studios, home of Stone Temple Pilots Drummer Eric Kretz and laid down the drum tracks."
When asked what is was like to work at Kretz’s studio, Zed drummer Rich Harris said, “Man it was refreshing to hang with someone so passionate about everything music and friendly to boot. More real and cool and down to earth than many industry folks down here in SoCal. Thanks so much dude. Fantastic experience at your studio”
Then the band took the tracks back up north to Sonic Room Studios in Livermore California and did the rest of the tracking from September to November with Tim Narducci, who worked on previous album “Desperation Blues.” More...
Zed just checked in with this announcement about wrapping up work on a new album due out later this year:
"Howdy and happy 2016! Hope your new year is going killer! At long last, after months of writing and recording, and after a few setbacks, we are proud to say that album #3 is done and is being mastered for delivery to Ripple Music, our label, who will be putting it out this summer.
"We laid down 10 tracks that are pretty rockin' and we are looking forward to you hearing them! Stay tuned on our Facebook and Instagram for the official album title, cover art, track listing and release date over the coming weeks!
"To celebrate the completion of recording, we have marked down a number of older merch/shirt designs 20-30% to make way for a new set of merchandise for this year. The first of which we just added to the store, a killer design by The Company Design which we call the Devil Rose shirt at left. It's double sided and looks badass!
"To see it and all the other merch that is marked down just go to our merch page. There are limited quantities so get it before it sells out. Also, in a couple of weeks we will be heading out to do a short run of dates in the southwest US!"

"Great Rock and Roll doesn't just happen. It's made. With sweat, swagger and alcohol. And ZED makes rock the way it should be made. Loud guitars, a shot of whiskey and a middle finger.
"San Francisco Bay Area's ZED takes it cues from the greats like Zeppelin, Sabbath and AC/DC, but combines them with their contemporary musical influences such as Clutch, Rage Against the Machine and Queens of the Stone Age, creating a mixture that is new, yet familiar. With this explosive sound they are bringing back the guts, the grit and the balls to Rock. And they won't stop until they succeed. At least in getting drunk and having a good time. More...

Heavy stoner rock band Zed is giving away their new CD, "The Invitation" for free for the next week. You can stream it and download it at their bandcamp page.
"The Invitation" was recorded in the winter of 2009. The band states: "We worked pretty hard on it and ended up taking the final tracks to Juan Urteaga at Trident Studio to mix and master, and he did an amazing job. This album is the result of about 1.5 years worth of writing, rewriting, fighting, drinking, smoking and rocking! enjoy!"
