Canadian metal/hardcore band Obey The Brave will make its U.S. debut at the 14th Annual New England Metal and Hardcore Festival on Friday, April 20th.
The new band features former members of Century Media recording artists Despised Icon and Mediaskare's Blind Witness.
"Some of my favorite touring memories took place at the Palladium," said vocalist Alex Erian. "So stoked to be back and can't wait to play Obey The Braves' first US show ever at the NEMHF. Shit's about to get real, fellas."
Obey The Brave is managed by Good Fight Entertainment and is now working on its debut album for a label to be announced.

Indiana metal powerhouse The Contortionist made the trek down to Audiohammer Studios in Orlando, FL earlier this week to begin the recording process for the follow-up to "Exoplanet." Famed producers Jason Suecof and Eyal Levi (August Burns Red, The Black Dahlia Murder) will be behind the boards for the new release, which is set to hit stores in late spring/early summer 2012.
“The Contortionist's jaw dropping debut was a special record for Good Fight, being one of the first bands we signed to the label,” states Good Fight Music label head Carl Severson. “Watching them grow since the release of Exoplanet has been awesome. Coupling them with the talents of Jason and Eyal at Audiohammer is going to result in an utter monster of an album! Can't wait for it.”
“I'm ready for The Contortionist to take my legs and pretzel them through my eyes while my ears get sonically brutalized,” adds co-producer Jason Suecof.
"It’s really cool that we’re recording in the same studio as some of the same bands that we’ve been listening to for a long time. Indianapolis act The Contortionist has unveiled new images of the upcoming picture-disc vinyl release of the band's debut album "Exoplanet." The picture-disc is set to be released by Good Fight Music on September 13th, 2011. The Contortionist released the CD version of "Exoplanet" with Good Fight Music on August 31st, 2010.

The Rave will be streaming the "Frak The Gods" tour featuring Maryland's own Periphery on Friday September 30th, 2011. Joining the webcast will be The Human Abstract (LA), Textures (Netherlands) and The Contortionist (Indianapolis).
Periphery Guitarist Misha Mansoor states: "We are really excited to be announcing our very first North American headlining run. It is called the 'Frak The Gods' tour. We feel so lucky to be able to have our buddies in The Human Abstract as direct support to us. They will be followed by Textures, whom we all love dearly, and who will be coming to the U.S. for the first time ever! Last, but definitely not least, we have the wonderful dudes from The Contortionist rounding off this fun little package."
The webcast is scheduled for Friday, September 30, 2011 (7:15pm ET / 6:15pm CT / 4:15pm PT) and will be available on a live pay-per-view for $2.99 in advance, and $3.99 on the day of the show.
This concert will be streamed live from The Rave/Eagles Club in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and will be available for viewing at this location. Each webcast will be shot with up to six cameras.

After years of touring as a supporting band, Periphery has finally attained headlining status. The group will embark on the "Frak The Gods" tour in September and has put together a stunning package. After seeing their latest album "Wormwood" debut at #67 on Billboard's Top 200, Massachusetts' THE ACACIA STRAIN are proud to announce their first headlining tour since the release of "Wormwood," last month.
The "To Catch a Predatour" sees THE ACACIA STRAIN heading out along the East Coast and in Canada with support from THE RED CHORD, TERROR, GAZA, and THE CONTORTIONIST. In typical THE ACACIA STRAIN fashion, the guys plan to bring the fun each night by hanging out at their merch table thirty minutes after doors to meet the fans and socialize. There will be a special t-shirt available for purchase only during this time in addition to all their new tour merchandise.
If you are in the Holyoke, MA area on the 20th of November, be sure to come out to the Waterfront Tavern as this show will be a benefit for a dear friend of the band who recently passed away due to a decade long battle with cancer.
