NEMHF 2013 Lineup Revealed

Promoter MassConcerts detailed the 2013 edition of the New England Metal & Hardcore Festival's annual event at The Palladium in Worcester, Mass. The three day festival commences on Friday April 19, 2013, with a kick off event on Thursday, April 18th. The press release reads as follows:

"For the 2013 installment, the NEW ENGLAND METAL & HARDCORE FESTIVAL will once again overthrow the historic venue, The Palladium, in Worcester, Massachusetts, this year marking the 15th anniversary of the iconic weekend-long gathering! The festivities will commence with a pre-party on April 18th, 2013 and the three official days of the fest following on the 19th, 20th, and 21st.

"Commented the festival’s founder Scott Lee of MassConcerts: 'I am excited with how far we have come and am ecstatic for this to be on our 15th year! It has been a long, interesting journey. We always try to make it a memorable event and we really hope you all enjoy the festival this year.'

"With more than forty acts from all realms of the extreme music world already set to storm the two stages of NEW ENGLAND METAL & HARDCORE FESTIVAL XV -- and with many more to be announced in the coming weeks -- the confirmed headliners for the event will include Hatebreed, Opeth and Suicidal Tendencies, as well as legendary thrash titans Anthrax performing their Among The Living album in its entirety, as part of their headlining spot on the Metal Alliance Tour.

Dying Fetus Updates Tour Schedule

Death Metal powerhouse Dying Fetus will be hitting the road in in January of 2013 alongside Hatebreed, Shadows Fall, and The Contortionist as part of "The Divinity of Purpose Tour." The tour will kick off January 26th in Flint, MI and will wrap up February 17th in Amityville, NY.

The band is currently out on "The Blood of Power Tour" which is the band's first headlining trek on the "Reign Supreme" album cycle. The first leg of the tour is underway now with support coming from Cattle Decapitation and Cerebral Bore. The second leg begins December 15th in Denver, CO, wrapping up December 23rd in Trenton, NJ. Support on this leg will come from Malignancy and Cerebral Bore. A complete list of dates is available below.

The Contortionist Releases New Music Video

The Contortionist has debuted a brand new music video today for the single "Dreaming Schematics." Check out the video below.

Fans familiar with the last video for "Causality" will see a definitive correlation between the two clips, and front man Jonathan Carpenter comments, "We're very pleased with the vibe captured in our new video. It has a very spacey look and that fits the ethereal sounds of the song."

The band also recently announced its participation in Hatebreed's "Divinity of Purpose" tour heading out early next year. Dates can be seen after the jump. Hatebreed Announces New U.S. Tour Dates

Hatebreed has issued the following announcement about upcoming U.S. tour dates starting in January, 2013:

"We are pleased to announce that we'll be hitting the road again in the United States next year on The Divinity Of Purpose Tour! Joining us on tour are Shadows Fall, Dying Fetus, and The Contortionist. VIP meet n’ greet packages and pre-sale tickets will be available Thursday, November 29th (tomorrow) at 10 AM PST at this location."

The Contortionist Signs To Season Of Mist

Season of Mist is proud to welcome modern metal act The Contortionist to the label's roster. Season of Mist also issued the following press release:

"The Americans broke onto the scene a few years ago and have quickly earned the title as one of the most musically inclined bands in the progressive metal genre. The Contortionist Releases "Causality" Music Video

The Contortionist has debuted a brand new music video for the single "Causality" exclusively via Noisecreep today. Watch the video here or in the player below.

Directed by Justin Beasley of of KOTK Productions, the video comes as the band's sophomore album "Intrinsic" is released tomorrow. "We're very excited to have finished our first music video. We had a lot of fun shooting it and hope people enjoy it," says keyboardist and front man Jonathan Carpenter. The video is the first of a two part series, with "Dreaming Schematics" having it's own video later this summer.

The Contortionist Shoots Two New Music Videos

The Contortionist shot a music video over this past weekend for the tracks "Casualty" and "Dreaming Schematics" with directing team KOTK Productions in North Carolina. A still shot from the shoot can be seen below.

The news comes on the heels of a recently announced headlining tour with Jeff Loomis presented by Metalsucks, with additional sponsorship from Royal Family Clothing and Guitar World Magazine.

Kicking off in Indianapolis, IN, dates will run through July and August. Support will come from Chimp Spanner and 7 Horns 7 Eyes. The band will also be featured on a handful of dates in this year's Summer Slaughter Tour.

The 6th annual Summer Slaughter Tour, presented by Indie Merch Store, Peavey, Ibanez and SoundCheck Hollywood, is now officially slated to run from July 20th through August 25th. Check out the tour poster here.

Emmure Added To NEMH Festival Lineup

Victory recording artists Emmure will join the already-stacked lineup of the 14th Annual New England Metal and Hardcore Festival on Sunday, April 22nd.

"We couldn't be more excited and grateful to be a part of this year's NEMHF," said vocalist Frankie Palmeri. "Some of my favorite bands are playing and I think this is the best line up it's had in years."

Emmure will join a lineup of more than 75 bands, from Billboard-charting artists and festival veterans to new acts and future stars of the genre, as the 14th Annual New England Metal and Hardcore Festival takes over the Palladium in Worcester, Mass., the weekend of April 20th through April 22nd.

A camera crew will be on hand this year to document the show for an upcoming film focusing on the history of the festival, behind the scenes footage and the development of the show. The documentary will be produced by Manny Santiago from Crimson Media and sponsored by Shook Clothing. More...
