Hell and Heaven Fest Lineup Announced

MEGADETH is confirmed to play the Hell and Heaven Metal Fest in Guadalajara, Mexico on Saturday, November 19, 2011. The Hell And Heaven Metal Fest is currently the only open air metal festival in Mexico. The festival had its first edition in October 2010 with three stages and 40 bands. The festival is dedicated to metal, but tries to balance genres such as heavy, glam, metalcore, thrash, speed, death, black and industrial metal.

This year the promoters expect to have a 20,000 audience and have confirmed 57 bands on four stages. The full line-up for the festival is as follows:

Maligno Streaming Entire New Album Online

Maligno is streaming its entire new album "The Funeral Domine" online for free. The album was released on April 29, 2011 and was recorded at La Nave studios in Monterrey, Mexico with mixing being done at 7hertz Studios in Los Angeles, California with producer/engineer Billy Anderson. Maligno Posts "Shine" Video

Mexican doom rockers Maligno have posted a music video online for the song "Shine," which can be viewed below. The video was filmed in Monterrey, Mexico and was directed by Adrix Gaal. "Shine" is off the band's upcoming 3rd album "The Funeral Domine" to be released on April 29th.

Maligno Reveals New Album Details

Mexican doom rockers Maligno will release their third album "The Funeral Domine" in May. The CD was recorded by Maligno at La Nave studios in Monterrey, Mexico and was mixed at 7hertz Studios in Los Angeles, California with American producer/engineer Billy Anderson. The effort was mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music in New Windsor, New York.

"The Funeral Domine" features collaborations with the acclaimed Mexican guitar duo Rodrigo Y Gabriela and Testament guitar legend Alex Skolnick. The cover artwork for "The Funeral Domine" can be viewed below, and the track listing is as follows:

Maligno To Support Iron Maiden In Mexico

Mexican doomsters Maligno have been tabbed to support Iron Maiden for two dates in Mexico; and as it happens it is the next two nights! Maligno released the following statement regarding the honor:

"We feel very thrilled and honored for this opportunity and to share the stage with a heavy metal legend and monster of a band as Iron Maiden also returning to Mexico City and playing the Foro Sol and the new auditorium in our hometown Monterrey."

The two dates are as follows:

March 17 - Monterrey, México – Auditorio Banamex
March 18 – Mexico City – Foro Sol

Maligno released the band's second studio album, "Universevil," back in September of 2008, and has finished mixing a third as-yet-untitled album, which will have guest spots from Testament's Alex Skolnick and Rodrigo y Gabriela. Check out more at Maligno's MySpace Page.

Maligno Finishes Tracking Album, Skolnick to Guest

Mexican doom metal band Maligno has released a short statement on their MySpace page about their upcoming release, which will be their third full-length album.

"We are officially done with the tracking of Maligno`s third album wich has the working title "TFD." As we mentioned before it is a concept album with a story connected by 9 songs which features collaborations by acclaimed Mexican guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela in an instrumental and Testament guitar legend Alex Skolnick in another track.
The album was recorded by MALIGNO at La Nave studios MTY and will be sent to mix to London in the next couple of days and mastering will be done in NY.
More updates coming soon!"
