Archspire Signs To Trendkill Recordings
Trendkill Recordings has issued the following announcement about inking a deal with Archspire:
"Trendkill Recordings is proud to announce the signing of Vancouver tech death metal outfit Archspire. Focusing on a fast, energetic and musically technical live show, Archspire boasts extended range guitars, and fretless bass. Their insanely precise and creative riffing, complete with supersonic shotgun vocals and velocious gravity blasting is already getting them compared to the likes of Origin, Decrepit Birth, Spawn Of Possession or fellow Canadians Beneath The Massacre.
"Archspire recorded their new album 'All Shall Align' between May and December 2010 at The Hive studios. Working with seasoned producer Stuart McKillop, the result is a fast, complex, and intricate example of what Archspire has to offer. Disjointed melodies and speeds that rival the band's influences, this taste of what Archspireis able to accomplish has already started a buzz in the worldwide metal community."
"All Shall Align" will be out on Trendkill Recordings in digital format on April 7th, 2011 followed by a limited digipack CD edition on April 14th in Europe and April 21st in North America.
Archspire Issues Year-End Update
Archspire has issued the following announcement about recent activity and plans for 2011:
"Hello! Well, it's almost 2011. We are pumped to be able to announce some very big news in the first months of the new year! Some of the things we will cover:
- A teaser track for the new album
- News about the official All Shall Align FULL LENGTH release
- Tour/Show information
"...and much more! Stay posted by checking out our blogs, watching our videos, liking us on Facebook, BandCamp, Twitter, and Myspace, and checking out our videos, unless you want to miss some of the big stuff we have coming up...
"So! To the good stuff! NoCleanSinging.com has just released a small review of ARCHSPIRE on one of their regular 'Miscellany' lists, and we are proud to say that a majority of the bands on that list are Canadian! Fuck yeah, keep up the Canadian metal, we wouldn't be anywhere without other bands to play with, and to be listed on a site such as this is an honour!
"As well, our very own Spencer Prewett has been recently featured on the legendary SickDrummer.com webzine! This is huge! Go check out his interview and bio here. Until next time!"
Archspire Issues Activity Update
Archspire has checked in with the following update about the band's activity:
"Well, it's been a few months since I've updated our blog, so here's what's goin' on: we recently stepped into The Hive Studios, with legendary producer/engineer Stuart McKillop to finish up All Shall Align. As of this past Monday, December 13th 2010, we are now officially done tracking for the full length, something that this band has been working on for well over two years now. The new song, entitled 'Rapid Elemental Dissolve,' and the outro 'All Shall Align' bring the album to completion with a few things that we've definitely never done before. We are beyond excited to see what you guys think of the new stuff, as well as the remixed and remastered older tracks.
"As an added obstacle, Tobi Morelli has an encounter with an extremely sharp object just days before he was scheduled to track his guitar parts. Ten stitches to his left pinky finger, and a few days off from practice, Tobi decided to attempt playing all of his tracks as originally intended. We are all very grateful he escaped with only a fleshwound, however painful it may have been. He is currently letting his finger heal in order to have the stitches removed, and a smooth recovery is expected.
"We are in the middle of planning out some touring, hoping to head east and play with some excellent Canadian tech death bands we've been in touch with. We will hopefully have more information on an Archspire - Spring 2011 Canadian tour very soon. Let us know if you are in a band, and want to help, or know of someone who is booking shows at that time, we would love the support. More...
Archspire Issues Band Update
Canada's Archspire has checked in with the following update about the band's recent activity:
"Greetings! Well, we've been incredibly busy since our last blog, so I haven't had a chance to post a new update. Here's a couple of the things we've been up to: September 26th, exactly one year to the day of our first show, we inked a deal with new Canadian label Hadean Records!
"Founded by Jeff Bryan and Kevin Ellis Moore, Hadean Records is going to be the driving force behind Archspire. We've got a lot of work to do, but a few things we can disclose at this point are distribution, online promotion, and some new promo photos. Suffice to say, working with Hadean Records seems to be the right choice for us at this point.
"In September, we played shows in Kelowna and Penticton with Atre Este, and in October we played a show with brutal death group Carnivitriol, and technical death grind band Akakor here in Vancouver. Also, we have our very first Vancouver Island show November 6th at the Victoria Centre, with Burning Ghats, Compound Terror, and guests! Stay posted for updates as they develop, we have a ton of things on the go and it won't be long before you see some big things from us! Stay Brutal."
Archspire Issues Mini-Tour Recap
Archspire has checked in with the following recap of the band's recent mini-tour:
"Hey guys! Well, we made it home in one piece from our mini tour which started in Vancouver, and ended in Calgary. We had the time of our lives! Met some great people, checked out some killer bands, and I think it definitely made us a tighter band both musically, and personally. Thanks to everyone that came out to the shows, and for all those that didn't get a chance, keep an eye out for more show dates. In the meantime, check out Nylithia, Skullhammer, Akakor, and Fenrir's Thirst.
"We're playing with some killer bands next weekend at the legendary Rickshaw Theatre. Speaking of wicked shows, Spencer, Oli and myself went to The Funky Winkerbeans in Van, and checked out some sick bands: Kataplexis, Abriosis, Galgamex, and Makaria. Very wicked, Kataplexis is from Calgary, and they definitely sound like they are going places.
"We will hopefully be going into writing mode over the fall/winter, so expect some new material at shows as soon as spring 2011. We definitely want to do a full length with Stu at The Hive, so we need to get started on material ASAP. More...
Archspire Checks In With Band Update
British Columbia based death metal act Archspire has checked in with the following update about the band's activity:
"June was a great month for Archspire, we got to play at The Biltmore Cabaret with a bunch of wicked bands. Mother Died Today put on a very, very awesome last show, which I'm quite saddened about. They were extremely impressive to watch live, and I took special note of the drummer of the band, he was absolutely amazing. First Reign came out also, and I'm good friends with all those guys, so it was awesome to share the stage with them once again. If you aren't familiar with their stuff, go check it out!. Lastly, we had the great Woods Of Ypres headline the show! Interesting blend of black metal with elements of other genres, I enjoyed watching them play, and I'm glad we (hopefully) put on a good opening show for them. So thanks to all those that came out, we have videos of all of our shows so far, and would like to throw some content up in the future perhaps, and for all those that took pictures, we'd love to get in contact with you!
"Well, July is looking pretty exciting for Archspire. We have 7 confirmed dates, 6 of which will be part of our very first mini tour! We will be heading from Vancouver to Kelowna, Prince George, and then hitting Alberta briefly before heading back home. We'll see how it goes, and we will definitely be setting up longer tours in the future. Our kickoff is at Funky Winkerbeans on the 15th, with some very wicked bands, Nylithia and Fenrir's Thirst. The FB group for the kick off show is here. More...
