Canada's Adytum is currently working on a new album, which is set to see a release in 2011. In a recent interview with X-Plosive Metal, Adytum bassist Marko Vuvovic had the following to say about the new material:
At this point the music is a very tight mix of progressive/tech with catchy simple structures. The older songs where really progressive and would have over 14 different parts and some only played once which would take the listener several listens to capture everythingthat is happening. The new songs are still progressive and technical but we are shaping the songs more to have a simple verse, chorus, bridge sections. I really see this album as our version of Rush's 2112 where we are showing that we can write very progressive and technical songs while being something that could be on the radio. Its really a great blend. There are songs we've been playing and jamming out for 2-3 years and it still sounds fresh.

Canada's Adytum has checked in with the following announcement about recruiting a new vocalist:
"Finally after a year without a singer we have found the guy. His name is Mark Johnson, he used to play in a band called LifeBlind here in Newmarket. We would like to officially welcome Mark into the dysfunctional family that is Adytum. We are rehearsing like crazy to get ready to play shows and hopefully tour. Adytum will hit the stage soon and we can't wait to share the stage again with all the great bands the we have played with."
