I, The Breather Releases "False Profit" Video
I, The Breather released sophomore full-length "Truth and Purpose" in February, and has spent the majority of 2012 on tour alongside August Burns Red, Silverstein, Upon A Burning Body and Betraying The Martyrs, among others. Look for the group to also perform on the Sumerian Records stage at the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival all summer long.
The band's new music video for the track, “False Profit,” can now be viewed below. This is the band's first official music video from "Truth and Purpose" and was directed by Thunder Down Country Productions.
Morgan Wright (drums) states: "Our objective with this clip was to create a dark and edgy video. It's very different from our last video. That was more of a straight up performance based video capturing the band in a live element. This video allowed us to use props, add in some acting and have a legit concept. When it came to acting, Shawn (vocals) stepped it up and took on the task of the protagonist.
"The thing that stands out most in this video is the massive python we used. The overall theme is Shawn representing God and the serpent representing the devil. The scenario portrays God rising up and taking on the false prophecy of the devil. A false prophet is someone who will arise to sway mankind into idolatry. We are very proud of this video and hope you enjoy it.” More...

I The Breather Streaming New Song
I The Breather kicks off a massive North American tour alongside August Burns Red, Silverstein, Texas In July and letlive! on January 13th in support of the new album, "Truth and Purpose," which is set for a February 28th release. The group just posted a new track titled "Bruised and Broken," which can be heard via the player below.
Morgan (drums) states: "We recorded the new album with producers Paul Leavitt and Taylor Larson. We are beyond happy with the direction of the new material as it features a lot of technical drumming and dual guitar work, but it's very listenable at the same time. This disc offers a lot to the listener musically and vocally. On the last album we stuck to using one tempo and it was very one-dimensional. This new one features a ton more and I'm proud of that. It captures our choppy chugs in parts, our melodic choruses and our off-time breakdowns. I feel as though it's a huge progression." More...

The new songs feature a lot of technical drumming and dual guitar work, but it's very listenable at the same time. This disc offers a lot to the listener musically and vocally. I The Breather Posts Tour Video
Christian metalcore quintet I The Breather has dealt with multiple van breakdowns over the course of two weeks, but continued on to bring the music to the masses and recently completed a tour with labelmates Upon A Burning Body. The band members also allowed PolyCarp Media unlimited access into their daily routine, so be sure to check out the video below for an uninhibited look into a “Day In The Life of I The Breather" below.
Morgan (drums) states: “This video was shot by our good friend Andres Ortiz of Polycarp Media. It documents our show at Rocketown in Pompano Beach, FL on the 'Welcome To The Jungle' tour. It perfectly captures what it’s like for a day in the life of us: I The Breather. It shows us in our element, having fun, all the stress that we take on and our van breaking down. It’s just a real representation of what life is like on the road. Nothing is sugarcoated.
“Our van broke down multiple times on this tour. The worst had to be leaving us stranded on a highway for Easter Sunday. Despite us being discouraged and ready to just head on home after a second breakdown in Florida it was our fans and everyone who came out to the show that night that kept us going. They showed us so much love and support. The show at Rocketown was one of my favorite shows of the tour. It was definitely worth it to tough it out and play the rest of this tour. The shows were unreal and everyone who came out to the shows on this entire tour was amazing! Thank you all so much!
“This summer we will be on the 'Scream The Prayer' tour alongside Norma Jean, Sleeping Giant, The Chariot and many others! We’re very excited to be a part of the tour this year. This also marks our second appearance on this tour and we’re looking forward to this year even more than last year’s. Hope to see you all at a show! Come to the merch table to meet us and hang out!”
