Slipknot and Stone Sour vocalist Corey Taylor has announced a series of dates for his upcoming book signing tour. Taylor will be touring in support of his newly released book "Seven Deadly Sins - Settling The Argument Between Born Bad And Damaged Good." Stone Sour has decided to pulled out of their remaining tour dates after drummer Roy Mayorga suffered a minor stroke. The band issued the following statement:
"It is with regret that we have decided to cancel the remaining dates on our current headline tour. Our friend and drummer, Roy Mayorga suffered a minor stroke a couple of nights ago after our show in Des Moines. He’s doing great and is expected to make a 100% recovery. We apologize to all the fans and look forward to getting back out on the road with Roy in the coming months."
During a recent stop on the "Avalanche" tour Stone Sour dedicated its performance of "Bother" to the late Paul Gray, on what would have been Gray's 39th birthday. Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor commented on the dedication by saying:
"Some of you know today is my fallen brother's birthday. I wasn't sure if I was gonna say anything. But I miss him every day. So I'd like to dedicate this song to him."
Roadrunner Records has issued the following announcement about the March 24th date of the Avalanche tour being canceled:
"Unfortunately the Avalanche show on March 24th in Chicago, IL has been canceled. The tour featuring Stone Sour, Theory of a Deadman, Halestorm and The Art of Dying will be heading across the country over the next few months.
"Avalanche has released the following statement: 'Due to circumstances out of our control, the March 24th Chicago stop of the Avalanche Tour has been canceled. Refunds will be available at point of purchase.'"

Orange County, California based hard rockers Avenged Sevenfold have been confirmed as the headliners for this year's edition of the Revolver Golden Gods Awards, which will take place on April 20th at the Nokia Centre in Los Angeles, California and will be televised by VH1 on May 28th.
Also performing at the show will be the original lineup of the Alice Cooper band, as well as Duff McKagen's Loaded, Devildriver, Asking Alexandria, Volbeat and Fozzy, who's lead singer Chris Jericho will also be hosting the event. Alice Cooper is also set to receive the eponymous Golden God award, while Motley Crue will be picking up the Ronnie James Dio Lifetime Achievement Award. Avenged Sevenfold, Godsmack, Three Days Grace, and Stone Sour are among the artists confirmed for the first ever Carolina Rebellion, which is set for Saturday, May 7 at Metrolina Expo in Charlotte, NC.
The current lineup for Carolina Rebellion is as follows: Avenged Sevenfold, Godsmack, Three Days Grace, Stone Sour, Seether, Bullet For My Valentine, Theory of a Deadman, Alter Bridge, Hinder, Skillet, Saving Abel, Halestorm, Black Stone Cherry, My Darkest Days, Cavo, Rev Theory, Pop Evil, Art Of Dying and more. The festival will feature two main stages for the biggest acts in rock today, both sponsored by Monster Energy.

Stone Sour drummer Roy Mayorga has uploaded new drum cam footage of him performing the song "Digital (Did You Tell)" from the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar tour.
Roy Mayorga commented on the video by saying:
"This video was made by Arejay Hale (drummer for Halestorm) I thought this was so cool that He took the time and went out of his way to make this. I had no idea he was behind me filming this show until a few days ago. This was from the Uproar tour we did together over the Summer. "Arejay you sneaky bastard I love you" Anyway you hear the original studio track in and out of this video though Arejay did his best to sync it up for refference.....kind of a rough process to do only because We play the song a bit faster live. But this video will show you exactly how to play the song 'Digital'."

Iowa based hard rockers Stone Sour, the side project from Slipknot vocalist Corey Taylor, have announced a free concert set to take place on August 30th, 2010 in New York City at The Studio at Webster Hall. The free show is to celebrate the release of Stone Sour's third studio album "Audio Secrecy." Space for the event is limited and concert goers are recommended to show up early for a better chance at entry. Admission will be made on a first come first served basis.
The Columbus, Ohio date for the Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival has seen a venue change for the August 24, 2010 concert. The concert has been moved from the LC Pavilion Outdoor Amphitheater which had a capacity of 4,500 to the Nationwide Arena, home of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, which has a concert capacity of 21,000. The change was done to accomodate the high demand in concert tickets for that city. All previously purchased tickets will be honored.
The 2010 Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival features performances from Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, Stone Sour, HellYeah and many more.
British heavy metal icons Iron Maiden have been confirmed as the headlining act for next year's edition of Australia's Soundwave festival. Also on the bill will be American thrash metal legends Slayer, shock rocker Rob Zombie, hardcore outfit Terror and former Guns N Roses guitarist Slash amongst others. Iron Maiden will also perform two arena shows in February.
