Exordium Mors To Play Siamese True Metal Fest

New Zealand's Exordium Mors has been confirmed to perform at the upcoming Siamese True Metal festival, which is set to take place on September 3rd, 2011. The band also commented on its upcoming appearance:

"Ave! Exordium Mors conquers Siam 2011 at 'Siamese True Metal Festival' (Replacing this year's 'God Beheading Ritual'). Sharing the stage with the Mighty Impiety and Siam Desekrators Surrender of Divinity plus much more!

"Those that attend this gig can pick up an advanced copy of the DVD 'Hellstorm of Fire and Chaos' destroyed, pillaged and raped earlier this year.

"Furthermore merch will be available at this show, so pick it up or fukk off! The Die has been cast...attend at your own caution. Nothing will be left of Siam except Ash and Bone. 666."

Unearthing The Metal Underground In Singapore

Each week in "Unearthing the Metal Underground," we'll be putting a few quality underground bands in the spotlight in an attempt to get the word out about them. This week I am exploring the Singapore scene.

The music scene in Singapore is predominantly indie and pop, with the biggest musical output being from indie bands. Rarely is metal heard over the airwaves with the exception of a one-hour metal show every Saturday midnight on a Malay radio station (the main spoken language in Singapore is English, so that shows how little exposure to metal there is over here). However, this has not stopped a large number of metal bands from sprouting up in recent years, with the wide availability of alternative forms of music via the Internet.
