4ARM Recruits New Guitarist
Australian thrash act 4ARM has checked in with the following announcement about recruiting a new guitar player:
"We are excited to announce Markus Johansson as the new lead guitarist of one of the most exciting and most talked about new thrash bands in the world, 4ARM!
"Due to serious family issues John Paul Glovasa was forced to make the difficult decision to step down from his position as lead guitarist in the band! Quoted saying, 'It was by far one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make.' though Danny, Mick and Andy wish Johnny and his family all the best! A hole needed filling.
"With a bunch of European festival dates coming up the band began the search for the man that would become the new lead guitarist of 4ARM. After hours of youtube clips and file sharing the guys narrowed in on Chicago based guitarist Markus Johansson!"
"We were able to kinda speak the same language right from the first time we met" Says front man Danny Tomb. "He just ticked all the right boxes for us, I really felt that I was already talking to "the new guy."
Johansson, who is a self taught lead guitarist from Chicago, has kept busy through the years working on solo projects with members from Anthrax, Testament, Dethklok, Dream Theater and more. After being told he got the job Johansson had this to say: "I am beyond excited, proud, and ready to shred it up with Australia's 4ARM!"

4ARM To Play Hammerfest 2013
After dropping off the "Zombie Apocalypse" tour in July, Australia's 4ARM has been invited back to the UK for Hammerfest V 2013.
The band will be performing on the second stage on Saturday, March 16th and joining a line-up of bands such as Napalm Death, Candlemass, and Enslaved with loads more to be announced. The festival as always will run three stages and have over 50 bands performing.
Drummer Michael Vafiotis had this to say: “We're excited to play Hammerfest for the first time and get back to the UK once again. With the new album doing great over there it will be awesome to give our fans another chance to see us live.”

Nemesis Records Comments On 4ARM Leaving Tour
Australian act 4ARM recently announced the band was dropping off its first ever U.S. run, dubbed the "Zombie Apocalypse" tour, due to problems with Nemesis Records and having to play subpar venues. Nemesis Records has now issued the following statement about the issue and the venue in question:
"It is unfortunate that we had to drop 4ARM from the Zombie Apocalypse Tour. It became clear to us that the band’s refusal to play The Workshop, and their choice to leave the venue instead of supporting their tour mates would negatively affect the morale of the entire tour. We strive to promote a culture of solidarity between the bands and with the club promoters we work with. We did not feel it was in anyone’s best interest for the bands, promoters, managers, and most importantly, the fans to be finding out if 4ARM was playing each date as we rolled into the venue.
"With regards to the venues along the tour route, The Workshop has seen great metal acts including: Six Feet Under, All Shall Perish, and Dying Fetus. Also, there are a number of bigger name venues on the route including: The Dirty Dog Bar in Austin, TX, El Corazon in Seattle, WA, and The Oakland Metro in Oakland, CA(where the tour is set to end at the Bay Area Metal Festival).
"In addition, each band was provided proper directions, dates, times, and the contact numbers for both of the tour managers.
"We wish 4ARM the best, and there are no hard feelings from our end. We would also like to thank CVDM(Central Valley Death Metal) for their hospitality at the Workshop, we are looking forward to the rest of tour with the remaining bands, and we appreciate everyone’s hard work toward making The Zombie Apocalypse Tour a success."
4ARM Drops Off "Zombie Apocalypse" Tour
Australia's 4ARM has been out on the band's first ever U.S. tour, dubbed the "Zombie Apocalypse" tour, alongside Casket For Cassandra, Prey For Sleep, and Deprivation. The group has now dropped off the trek, issuing the following statement:
"4ARM have been forced to walk off The Zombie Apocalypse Tour owing to sub-standard arrangements and communications on behalf of the tour promoters, Nemesis Records.
"As an example, the accompanying photo is of an actual venue at which the band was expected to perform. Needless to say, this was the final straw triggering 4ARM's exit from a poorly organised and misinformed operation. 4ARM warn all bands to exercise caution in dealings with Nemesis Records.
"4ARM apologizes to fans who were planning on attending any of the US dates, but would like to assure them of a return to the US under better circumstances." More...
