Californian straight edge band xDeathstarx has decided to call it quits. Front man Eric Gregson stated that "We have decided to pull the plug on xDeathstarx. We're all moving on and we'd like to thank everyone who has supported us through the years."
The band's final show will be on the Facedown Fest on April 3 and 4.
Details for the 2009 Facedown Fest have been announced. The event takes place on April 3 and 4, 2009 at The Glasshouse in Pomona, CA. Performances start at 5pm both days. Tickets are $15 for one night and $25 for both nights. The lineup is as follows:

Facedown Records has announced that after being out of print for 3 years, xDeathstarx's debut full length "The Triumph" is being re-released on November 25 through Facedown. The album has been re-mixed and re-mastered and comes with all new artwork. You can check out a song on the label's MySpace profile as well as the pre-order packages available now on their online store.
The 10th annual Facedown Fest will take place on March 28th and 29th in Pomona, CA at the Glasshouse. Tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, January 9th and will be $15 for single day tickets or $25 for two-day passes. The event will feature performances from War Of Ages, Impending Doom, Seventh Star (final show), Sleeping Giant, xDeathstarx, Inked In Blood, xLooking Forwardx, Means, A Plea For Purging, Kingston Falls, Remove The Veil, Wrench In The Works in addition to several acts yet to be announced.
In March / April of 2006 Parkway Drive embarked on a 30 date national all ages tour, aptly titled the All Ages Assault Tour, passing through regional cities and towns which seldom get touring bands.
February 2008 will see them return with the same approach on the Surf Rat Tour, again all shows will be all ages. The tour will be rippin’ through the likes of Cooma, Wangaratta, Wagga Wagga, Sutherland, Coffs Harbour, Townsville and many more as well as an appearance at the MS Fest in Tasmania. Getting barrelled with Parkway Drive will be fellow Byron Bay grommets 50 Lions. Tour details below, tickets go on sale November 21.

Redland, California hardcore/metal band xDeathstarx (Facedown Records) is currently searching for a new singer, drummer, and bassist. According to the band, "In the last few months we've gone through some line-up changes. We've had members leave for various reasons and since then we've had friends filling in their spots. We're looking for permanent members to join xDeathstarx and begin touring with us as soon as June."
Candidates must be Christian, straight edge, and willing to tour 6-8 months of the year. Interested parties should send an email here.

After playing a sold out show in Baltimore on January 27, Earth Crisis have decided to play a west coast reunion show at the Majestic in Ventura, California on May 5. Other bands include The Warriors, XDeathStarX, Force of Change, Too Pure to Die, Fight Everyone, Gather, Tears of Gaea, and more to be announced.

The summer tour featuring xDeathstarx, Blood Stands Still, and Anam Cara has officially been scrapped. The trek was to begin yesterday. No word on reasons behind the cancellation, though it should be noted that official sources claim that the tour will be rescheduled and re-routed.

The full lineup for the 8th Annual New England Metal and Hardcore Festival, which is sponsored this year by ESP Guitars and Krank Amps, has been confirmed.
The three-day festival at The Palladium in Worcester, MA, will feature headliners Lacuna Coil, Black Dahlia Murder, and Between the Buried and Me on Friday, April 28. Arch Enemy, Chimaira, and Exodus will headline Saturday, April 29. Headliners for Sunday, April 30 are Gamma Ray and DragonForce.
UK-based DragonForce will be making its first-ever American appearance at the festival. Italy's Lacuna Coil and Sweden's Arch Enemy will be making return appearances at the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival, after stellar performances at the 2003 and 2002 editions of the festival.
"It's fantastic to be a part of what is quite possibly the best U.S. metal fest around!" said Arch Enemy guitarist Mike Amott. "This is our third time playing the New England Metal and Hardcore fest and it's always a pleasure. It's held in a great venue with great fans."
"It is an honor for us to be one of this year's headliners at the New England Metal and Hardcore festival," said vocalist Andrea Ferro. "We are more than ready for it. We can't wait."

Prosthetic Records' CREMATORIUM have been confirmed for The Los Angeles Murderfest Version 2.0, to be held Feb. 18 & 19, 2006 at The Knitting Factory in Los Angeles.
