Iron Savior Releases "Together As One" Video
In support of their brand new, critically-acclaimed studio album, "Firestar," German power metal force Iron Savior has shared a music video for "Together As One." You can check it out below.
"'Together As One' is easily one of the best songs ever written by me," Iron Savior frontman, Piet Sielck, convinced. "But that goes for the entire new album. 'Firestar' turned out to be one of the best Iron Savior works within 25 years of band history. Why? We have no idea… it’s just like that!"

Iron Savior Releases New Music Video
German power metal frontrunners, Iron Savior, has announced the release of their new studio album, titled "Firestar," for October 6, 2023 via AFM Records. Following previously-released songs, "Through the Fires of Hell" and the blistering, fast-paced album title track, today, Iron Savior are premiering a music video for their new single "In the Realm of Heavy Metal." You can check it out below.
Iron Saviors upcoming album will feature a wide range of influences from hard rock to pop, all calibrated to heavy metal trademark the band is known and loved for. But sometimes pure coincidence or seemingly inconspicuous little details can turn a very good album into an outstanding release. In the case of "Firestar," it has come as a real surprise even for Sielck that the new songs surpass the material of the impressive 2020-album "Skycrest." In fact, the cornerstones of the current offering were already set and pointed to a successful production within the tried and tested framework, when all of a sudden everything turned out rather differently: "Just before the recordings were finalised, I was inspired by the muse, totally of the blue. I wrote two more songs out of nowhere and changed a third one on the spur of the moment. And suddenly, ‘Firestar’ turned into an even better record," says Sielck happily, admitting that this unexpected creative surge "triggered great emotions" in him. 70000 Tons Of Metal 2023: Day One
In the modern metal world full of festivals, it seems that cruises are becoming more and more common. Whether it be Chris Jericho's Rock 'N' Wrestling Rager At Sea, the Kiss Kruise or the Mediterranea Metal Cruise, heavy metal on the open sea is becoming more and more common. However, to understand how this became a thing, you need look no further than 70000 Tons Of Metal, which as it proudly boasts, is the world's original metal cruise.
First setting sail in 2011, the floating festival quickly grew in size, popularity and prestige to become the institution it is today. After a few years away thanks to the worldwide bastard that was the COVID-19 pandemic, the cruise returned last week for its eleventh voyage. Boasting some of metal's most popular names, cult favourites and up and comers, 70000 Tons was back with a vengeance.
To get festivities underway, sailors had a choice between British death metal veterans Cancer or German heavy metal stalwarts Iron Savior. Fortunately, with every band scheduled to play twice, it's only a matter of scheduling and not worrying about missing out that helps form decisions. So it was decided that the best way to get the ball rolling was Iron Savior, given their more upbeat sound. They proved to be the perfect choice, as their sonic bridge between heavy and power metal matched the excitement felt on board. Of course, with nearly thirty years of music under their belts, not all albums could be represented in forty five minutes, but the carefully chosen setlist including three songs from "Kill Or Get Killed." The chemistry between frontman Piet Sielck and bassist Jan-Sören Eckert also added to the fun of a memorable set which concluded with "Break The Curse" from 2004's, "Battering Ram." Austrian blackened death metal stalwarts Belphegor has been announced as the latest addition for this year's edition of the 70000 Tons Of Metal cruise. The floating festival, which will take place aboard the Freedom Of The Seas, will sail out from Miami, Florida on January 30th and return to port on February 3rd.

Three More Bands Confirmed For 70000 Tons 2023
The organisers of the 70000 Tons Of Metal cruise have confirmed a further three names for the 2023 edition of the event, which will launch in just over two weeks on January 30th from Miami, Florida, before returning on February 3rd. Now added to the lineup are Dutch outfit Dear Mother, Canadian progressive metal band Osyron and Colombian melodic death metal group Eshtadur.

The announcements for the 2023 edition of 70000 Tons Of Metal are coming thick and fast with the organisers of the cruise confirming two more names for the voyage today. British death metal legends Cancer will be boarding the ship, as will German Viking metal band Wolfchant. Speaking on the announcement, Cancer said:
"We are beyond stoked to announce that we will be spreading this fatal disease called death fucking metal at the one and only 70000tons, the world's biggest heavy metal cruise in just a few weeks!
"We've definitely never played in a setting like this one, so you can imagine the four of us are quite excited about it! A good bunch of friends and bands that we love have been already announced and we'll all make a total of 60 artists playing two sets each when the whole line-up gets revealed!
Grab your tickets now before it is too late! See you in Miami and Bimini VERY soon! CFC."

Vektor Pulled From 70000 Tons Of Metal
Last night, the organisers of the 70000 Tons Of Of Metal cruise announced that Sci-Fi thrashers Vektor would be performing in the 2023 edition of the event. In the past hour, the 70000 Tons social pages have confirmed that the band have since been removed from the event. While no reason has been cited, there were angry responses from attendees past and present owing to allegations made against lead vocalist David DiSanto by his ex-wife.
70000 Tons Of Metal will sail from Miami on January 30th and last until February 3rd, during which time the ship will dock in Bimini, Bahamas.
