Twilight Streaming Final Album

Chicago's Twilight releases third and final album, "III: Beneath Trident's Tomb," today through Century Media (read our review over here). Six tracks appear on the record and the full album is streaming now at Pitchfork.com here. The track listing is as follows:

Twilight Streaming "Swarming Funeral Mass"

Chicago's black metal assembly Twilight will release third and final album, "III: Beneath Trident's Tomb" on March 18 via Century Media. Six tracks will appear on the record and the song "Swarming Funeral Mass" can be heard below, courtesy of Invisible Oranges.

Released as a digipack and LP (1000 pressed worldwide, 700 purple and 300 black), "III" is much more an experimental album than its predecessors. It's a dark, uncomfortable listen. The official track listing is as follows:

Twilight Announces New Album And Breakup

"III: Beneath Trident's Tomb" is the title for the final album from San Francisco's experimental black metal band, Twilight. The album will be released in North America on March 17th (Europe) and March 18th (North America). Six tracks will appear on the record, and the list and artwork can be seen below.

The new release will be issued as a digipack CD and vinyl LP (1000 pressed worldwide, 500 on purple vinyl (US only), 500 on black). "III: Beneath Trident's Tomb" is much more of an experimental album than its predecessors. It is a "dark, uncomfortable listen."

Twilight Inks Deal With Century Media

Twilight, the black metal act featuring Blake Judd of Nachtmystium, recently announced the band is recording a new album. Century Media has now issued the following statement about inking a deal with Twilight:

"Century Media Records is proud to announce the signing of the black metal outfit Twilight! Composed of some of the most talented members of the underground metal community, Twilight previously released two full-length albums (2005's Twilight and 2010's Monument to Time End) and is ready to begin work on a third album this August-- this time, with Thurston Moore (Chelsea Light Moving, Sonic Youth) added to the band's ranks."

In regards to joining Twilight, Thurston Moore comments, "We're not coming together to make music, we're joining forces to destroy all rational thought."

Twilight's upcoming album will be produced by the band's own Sanford Parker (Nacthmystium, Minks) and will see a 2013 release worldwide via Century Media Records. Stay tuned for more news about Twilight coming soon. The band is:

Twilight Recording New Album

Twilight, the black metal band featuring Blake Judd of Nachtmystium, has issued the following announcement about gearing up to record a new album:

"We start recording the new Twilight album this weekend. Century Media Records will be releasing it. Go like the official Twilight page to get more updates on the project as it progresses."

Nachtmystium Reveals New Album Details

Chicago metal band NACHTMYSTIUM has announced that their new full-length offering, "Addicts: Black Meddle Pt. II," will be released on June 8th. The album was recorded once again with Sanford Parker (Minsk) at Volume Studios. They have enlisted the talents of Wrest (Leviathan, Lurker of Chalice, Twilight) to record all drum tracks as well as Will Lindsay (Wolves in the Throne Room, Middian) on bass for this new album.

Twilight To Release New Album

U.S. black metal act Twilight, which then consisted of members of Nachtmystium, Leviathan, Kreig, Xasthur and Drautran, released its self-titled debut album in 2005. Due to personal differences within the unit, Twilight officially disbanded a year later, with no plans of a new record on the horizon. Yet in early 2009 several members resurrected a modified lineup for a follow-up release.

Twilight's lineup on the upcoming "Monument To Time End" includes three founding members - Blake Judd (Nachtmystium), Wrest (Leviathan, Lurker of Chalice), and N. Imperial (Kreig), - and new recruits Stavros Giannopolous (The Atlas Moth), Sanford Parker (Minsk, Buried At Sea) and Aaron Turner (Isis, Old Man Gloom), as well as vocal contributions by Robert Lowe (Lichens, OM) on three tracks. "Monument To Time End" will be released this May on Southern Lord Records.
