Tetrarch Produces An "Oddity"

Buzzworthy metal group Tetrarch has been making huge moves this summer! The band is about to wrap up the current North American tour with metal giants DevilDriver and fellow support artists 36 Crazyfists, Cane Kill and Uncured, and next Friday, September 29, the band releases the new full-length album "Freak." Today, the band premiered the new single/video clip "Oddity" over at Revolver's website ">over here. You can also view the clip in the player at the bottom.

With one listen it's clear - Tetrarch oozes raw, unbridled skill. The band's new album, "Freak," amplifies the band's tried-and-true blend of intense metalcore riffage and driving drums with the dark vibes and haunting choruses of hooky modern hard rock. Tetrarch's most cited influences - ranging from bands such as heavy metal giants Slipknot and Trivium to hard rock darlings Mudvayne and Linkin Park - are evident but never replicated, as they stay true to their own unique mixture that appeals to any heavy music fan.

Freak was recorded with seasoned producer Dave Otero (Cattle Decaptitation, Allegeon, Khemmis) at the helm, who brought out the band's profound heaviness without sacrificing the catchy, melodic edge that has hooked the band's impressive underground fanbase.

The track list is:

1. Freak
2. Spit
3. Pull the Trigger (available here)
4. Mary
5. Oddity
6. Break the Trend
7. Please Let Me Be
8. Torn Apart

Tetrarch Posts "Pull The Trigger"

Trailblazing metal group Tetrarch is getting ready to kick off an upcoming tour with metal giants DevilDriver and fellow support artists 36 Crazyfists, Cane Kill, and Uncured this coming Friday, August 18th.

In anticipation of the tour kickoff, and the release of upcoming album "Freak" (due out September 29th), the band is thrilled to reveal another new track, entitled "Pull The Trigger." Check it out below.

Guitarist Diamond Rowe tells AP: "There are so many people who struggle with mental illness and have inner battles with self-worth, and 'Pull the Trigger' is about just that... we wanted this video to just essentially be a plethora of clips of things that can cause people to attract negative feelings in this day and age, whether its drugs, politics, relationships, etc. While I don't struggle with these things, all of us in this band have people close to us that do, so I think it touches home for us and a lot of other people." Tetrarch Unveils "Freak" Album

Tetrarch is currently trekking across the states on the "Scream Out Loud" tour, hyping fans up for new full-length album "Freak." Today, the band is thrilled to reveal confirmed details on that album, which is due hit stores on September 29th, 2017 and in the spirit of independence, pre-orders will go live on July 4th.

Check out the title track "Freak" below. Although "Freak" is not a concept album, the album title depicts themes close to lead guitarist Diamond Rowe's heart.

"'Freak' is basically about embracing the weird things about yourself that other people may find bizarre," says Rowe. "I guess you could say I'm a bit of a freak. I'm not what you would consider your typical guitar player in a metal band! Honestly, it's great though. I like seeing the look on people's faces when they find out how huge of a metalhead I am, and even more so when they see me on stage ripping it up with the guys. Essentially, I'm what some might consider an outcast, or a freak, and I love it and embrace it. This song and album are for the people who, like us, are willing to flaunt their individuality."

"Recording Freak in Denver, CO with Dave Otero was honestly such a privilege," adds Rowe. "We want to grow creatively with every release. We really tapped into a lot of different influences on this record and tried new things that we never did with some of our previous EP's. We challenged ourselves to think outside of the box, and are extremely happy with how it came out. In some ways, this record is a lot heavier than anything we have ever done, and in other ways it's a lot creepier and mysterious. I think there's a little something for everyone on this record." Unearthing the Metal Underground on Myspace

Each week in "Unearthing the Metal Underground," we'll be putting a few quality underground bands in the spotlight in an attempt to get the word out about them. In this edition of Unearthing the Metal Underground I’ll be discussing some random bands I found on MySpace. All acts are unsigned and talented.

Margin of Existence

Margin of Existence is a Greek melodic death metal band that takes the genre to a brutal level. The guitars are straight out of In Flames’ “Whoracle” album, but the vocals, done by George Triantafilou, are something straight out of Immolation. Many bands copy the in flames guitar style, but Margin of Existence adds in other death metal influences into the music. Check out their MySpace page here. More...
