"Taste Of Chaos" Scam Hits The Internet

The Pulse of Radio reports that a scam centered around tickets to the Taste of Chaos tour has hit the Web. A person passing themselves off as "Jennifer Weds" at the email address promotions@tasteofchaos.com is sending out emails offering two VIP tickets for $95 each. The messages generally say in part, "You have been chosen to receive two VIP tickets for the Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour! Your name will be on the will call list plus one guest. Please be sure to bring a print out of the email and your photo ID when picking up your tickets. Will call will be open one hour prior to showtime. Have a great time and keep rockin!"

The Taste of Chaos has asked fans to disregard these emails as they are totally false.

In other news, anyone who signs up for the DKMS Bone Marrow Registry through Music Saves Lives will gain early entry to stops on the Taste of Chaos run. Concertgoers 18 and older who register with the marrow program, which helps those with leukemia and cancers of the blood, will be allowed into the venue 30 minutes before doors open to get a behind-the-scenes glimpse at what goes on before the lights go down.

Only 20 people will be allowed in per show. Information on how to apply can be found at TasteOfChaos.com.

The Taste of Chaos tour features AVENGED SEVENFOLD, ATREYU, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE and others. It pulls into Minneapolis on Tuesday (March 4).

ATREYU will re-issue its latest album, "Lead Sails Paper Anchor", in an expanded edition on March 18, according to HardDrive Radio. The enhanced version of the band's major label debut will include a newly recorded song, DVD content and other bonus features. Frontman Alex Varkatzas told The Pulse of Radio more about the group's plans for the release. "Lead Sails Paper Anchor", ATREYU's major label debut, arrived last summer and features the single "Becoming the Bull". The newest single from the disc is called "Falling Down".

BULLET's first-week sales total is only eight thousand copies less than that of this week's chart-topper, ALICIA KEYS, whose No. 1 album is said to be among the the lowest-selling in modern chart history.

"Scream Aim Fire", has achieved the following first-week chart positions:

Japan: #1
Germany: #3
Australia: #4
USA: #4
United Kingdom: #5

A No. 4 debut might be sweet for BULLET singer Matt Tuck, who told The Pulse of Radio that making the disc was a difficult process. "Yeah, totally, every day for the last eight months, prior to it getting actually mixed and mastered and finished, it was like just a never-ending struggle every day, really," he said. "But, you know, it's definitely worth the work."

The CD follows up the group's acclaimed 2006 full-length debut, "The Poison", which has sold more than 375,000 copies in the U.S.

The Pulse of Radio reports: ATREYU is getting ready to join fellow Orange County, California residents AVENGED SEVENFOLD on this winter's Taste of Chaos tour. Although the tour doesn't begin until February 29 in Denver, ATREYU singer Alex Varkatzas told The Pulse of Radio that his band is keeping busy with rehearsals and planning a reissue of its latest album, "Lead Sails Paper Anchor". "We're just kind of practicing," he said. Varkatzas did not have a title for the new song, nor a release date for the expanded edition of "Lead Sails...", which will come with a DVD.

Atreyu Guitarist Launches Clothing Line

The following press release has been announced:

Rokk Clothing is the brainchild of Dan Jacobs, guitarist with ATREYU. An avid fan of eighties Rock, Dan would scour the Internet to find vintage T shirts. One day, in conversation with his brother Joe, they got to thinking about how much these T shirts cost and surely there must be a less expensive way to produce them. Dan had a very definite idea of the design, fabric, fit he wanted and together with Joe's business skills they have put together their first range.

Says Dan, "I wanted to design my own brand because I wanted to produce the kind of T shirt I would buy, at a reasonable price. These 'T's had to look like real eighties stuff, classic Rock band 'T' shirts in bold primary colors and design, – they've got to look so good that at first glance you'd think it was the real thing."

Rokk Clothing brings alive the classic Rock shirt of today. All are original authentic designs, inspired by Dan and executed by Joe exclusive to the Rokk Clothing brand. The range also features Japanese style headbands, like the ones Dan wears during ATREYU's performances.

The capsule range of Rokk Clothing was launched on October 1, 2007. Says Joe Jacobs: "We have been really encouraged by initial sales and the excitement the range is generating. Orders have been received from all over the United States as well as from the United Kingdom, Austria, Germany and Italy."

Atreyu To Film San Diego Concert

ATREYU will film their August 30, 2007 concert at Soma in San Diego, California. "This should be a very special show for all of us so come on out and join the party!" the band says. "Our friends TRIVIUM, DROID and LOWER DEFINITION will also be playing. We don't film shows often and every time we have it's been a blast. This is a show not to be missed."

ATREYU's new album, "Lead Sails Paper Anchor", is being released today (August 28).

To celebrate the release of "Lead Sails Paper Anchor", ATREYU has scheduled two special in-store events for its hometown fans. Later today (August 28), the band will be in Irvine, CA at the Irvine Spectrum and will be signing copies of its new album starting at 5:00 p.m. Then on August 30, the band heads down to Horton Plaza in San Diego, CA for another signing at the Hot Topic store. Fans that purchase the record in advance of street date at the Irvine location will get a wristband that will guarantee them a meet-and-greet with ATREYU and the same applies to the San Diego fans that purchase the record on August 28.

ATREYU recorded "Lead Sails Paper Anchor" this spring with producer John Feldmann (THE USED, GOOD CHARLOTTE) who worked with the band to create their most infectious, ambitious and musically challenging disc yet. While the band's juxtaposition of hardcore-influenced chaos and rock-influenced melody is still present, the gulf between the two styles is diminished, making the passages flow in a smoother and more naturalistic manner. "Lead Sails Paper Anchor" was mixed by Andy Wallace (NIRVANA, SLIPKNOT, LINKIN PARK).

Family Values 2007 Tour Adds Second Stage

LiveDaily.com reports: A second stage, more bands and a video-game contest have been added to this summer's Family Values Tour.

The festival's fifth installment is set to kick off July 20 with Korn and Evanescence topping the bill and sharing the main stage with Atreyu, Flyleaf, Trivium, and Hell Yeah, the new band comprising Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott and members of Mudvayne and Nothingface.

The second stage, sponsored by RedOctane video game "Guitar Hero," will host five additional bands, including up-and-comers Five Finger Death Punch, Invitro and Twin Method. Between sets, a national "Guitar Hero II" competition will take place on stage, with competitors vying for an autographed Korn guitar, band access passes and a chance to challenge Korn frontman Jonathan Davis to a game after the show.

The 30-city trek starts in Maryland Heights, MO, and makes its way across the US, wrapping in early September with four shows in California. The caravan of rockers is also set to stop in Toronto July 31st. Details are listed below.

As they did last year, organizers will offer $9.99 lawn seats in most cities.

Family Values, which Korn created with its management company in 1998, returned to the stage last summer following a five-year hiatus and saw its most successful run to date.

Korn is scheduled to release its eighth studio album, which won't have a name, on July 31. The set's first single, "Evolution," and a video that documents the making of the song, are streaming at Korn's website.
