Sebastian Bach To Front Twisted Sister This Fall
Following the resignation of frontman Dee Snider and uncertainty over the band's future, Twisted Sister has announced that solo artist and former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach has been recruited to sing for them at their scheduled Fall shows. A message from the band reads as follows:
"Twisted Sister members Jay Jay French and Eddie Ojeda are thrilled to announce that iconic vocalist and front man Sebastian Bach will be fronting the band for a handful of select dates this fall. These appearances do not affect or conflict with Sebastian’s current or future solo touring schedule, which remains fully intact."

Dee Snider Reworks Song For Ukraine
Legendary heavy metal vocalist DEE SNIDER recently announced his steadfast support of the people of Ukraine using Twisted Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It" as their battle cry anthem, and within just days, became heavily involved at the forefront of World United Live. The platform operates with the goal of raising awareness that may otherwise be shielded from the Russian people, to digitally, simultaneously protest in support of Ukraine, and to eventually coordinate the world's largest aid concert to help them rebuild.
Today, in support of World United Live's initiatives and the people of Ukraine, DEE SNIDER released a brand new, re-worked music video for his Leave A Scar track "Stand", specially renamed "Stand (with Ukraine)". The video, featuring various pieces of current sourced footage, can be viewed here via www.worldunited.live now.
Dee Snider tells the story in his own words:
"About a month ago, someone on social media told me people in Ukraine were using Twisted Sister's 'We're Not Gonna Take It' as a battle cry and asked if I was cool with it. Of course I was. My response elicited someone asking me why I was okay with Ukrainians using my song and not some other groups. I won't repeat my exact response (it was a bit political), but that tweet went internationally viral. Every news agency in the world suddenly wanted to talk to me.
"At that very moment, some great people (who were all friends of mine) were hatching the idea for World United Live and asked me if I would spearhead the organization. How could I say no? Since then, we have been beating the drum for the free world to come together, not only in support of Ukraine and condemnation of Putin, but in sending a message to the Russian people that they are misinformed and not being told the truth. Now, with the help of the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger and many others, we are doing just that!
"About a week ago, it hit me that the song 'Stand' from my last Napalm Records album, 'Leave A Scar,' fit the crisis in Ukraine perfectly... but I had already released a video for 'Stand' recently. Yet I just couldn't get around how well the lyrics resonated with Putin's attack on these innocent people. Ukraine was the furthest thing from my mind when I wrote the words for that song, yet it was like I had done just that. So, I had a couple of incredibly talented people (Scott Pitek and Steve Sage Goldberg) cut together a new video using some live concert footage and news clips. The result is devastating. Please watch and share 'Stand (With Ukraine)' and join us at www.worldunited.live. Help save the world. Together we can."

"We Are Twisted Fucking Sister" Documentary Coming
"We Are Twisted Fucking Sister!" - a documentary film by Andrew Horn - is due to be released on an updated date in Europe, now set for release on February 12th, 2016 via Monoduo Films.
The 137 minute movie (plus over 2 hours bonus material will be available on VOD and DVD) also now features are-worked DVD cover. Check it out below, along with a new trailer.
How fitting that 2016 marks the release of “We Are Twisted F*cking Sister!” which recounts the untold story of Twisted Sister’s beginnings, at the same time that the band mounts a last ever tour, bidding a final farewell to 40 years of performing. As the band gears up for the big finish, the movie shows how it all began.
Some considered Twisted Sister a joke, others called it the greatest bar band in the world. Guitarist Jay Jay French says, “The history of Twisted is really our 10 years clawing our way through the bar scene. It’s who we are, and it’s why we are, and why we do what we do.”
The film follows the band from the beginning as a cross-dressing glam group playing 4 shows a night, 6 nights a week in New Jersey bowling alleys and Long Island beach bars, to the suburban mega-clubs of the late 70s/early 80s, to the bust-out appearance on the U.K. rock TV show, “The Tube.” More...
Bloodstock Confirms Dragonforce, Paradise Lost
After recently revealing Twisted Sister'sfinal U.K. show and the mighty Mastodon as two of the three main stage headliners for 2016, Bloodstock is excited to announce three more main stage bands for next year’s event.
Power metal fans rejoice! Be sure to practice your air guitar skills in advance, because the shredtastic Dragonforce has confirmed that Bloodstock will be the band's only U.K. show in 2016!. Guitarist Herman Li informs us:
"It’s been over 10 years since DragonForce played Bloodstock, and both of us have come a long way in that time. Back then, we were a new band with only our debut album out, and Bloodstock was a smaller indoor festival, but still a magnet for true, die-hard rock & metal fans, just as it is today. We had some of our best times that year at Bloodstock and felt great excitement at being invited to play. That excitement is just as real today having been invited back again, only this time it's even better because I won't need to pack the gear and drive up there in my car with Sam Totman as my map reader!!"
British doom pioneers Paradise Lost also join the bill, with guitarist Greg Mackintosh commenting: “It is great to be confirmed to play Bloodstock 2016! We haven't played there since 2012 and we had a blast. It will also be our first UK festival appearance since the release of our new album, ‘The Plague Within’. We look forward to seeing you all there and adding the doom and gloom to Bloodstock 2016.”
Greek extreme metallers Rotting Christ will blaze into Catton Park, with front man Sakis having this to say: “We’re very proud to be coming back to the biggest metal festival in the United Kingdom! Bloodstock, let's create hell on earth next year! Until then...keep the spirit alive!”
Avantasia Taps Dee Snider For New Album
In addition to Jorn Lande and Geoff Tate, Avantasia has now revealed another appearance on upcoming album "Ghostlights" - none other than Twisted Sister's Dee Snider!
"Ghostlights" is due out on January 29, 2015 via Nuclear Blast Records. Avantasia's Tobias Sammet comments: "I've always been a fan of Twisted Sister and Dee Snider in particular. He is entertaining, flamboyant, energetic, loud, tongue in cheek, colourful and mean! When I was young, I remember that he was the kind of character that I wanted to be. A crossing between peacock, jackal and Bugs Bunny. I loved it! On "Ghostlights" Dee is gonna be a ghost, and what a ghost he is. Great performance. Dee, welcome to the Avantasia family!" More...
