Canadian progressive death metallers, Into eternity, have issued the following update on their MySpace page
"The Incurable Tragedy should be mixed by the end of the week. The album is sounding really cool and we can't wait to release the record to everybody soon. In the meantime, here are our dates for our next tour!"
Tim Roth of Canadian progressive death metal band Into Eternity has issued the following report of their US and Japan tour:
"The band is back home now in Canada (Steve lives in Boston) after another couple of successful tours. The Symphony X/Epica/Into Eternity US Tour was one of the best we have ever had. The US crowds are killer and we love playing south of our border! After the tour was over, we played a headlining gig and then a sold out show in Pittsburgh with Children Of Bodom. I have never seen such a brutal pit and stage diving! It was an insane crowd, so thanks to COB for letting us play the show with them. They are a great band.
"Next up was a 25 hour plane ride to Osaka, Japan. A big hello to all of the crew and bands we played with on the Extreme The Dojo Vol.20! Also thank you to Toys Factory and Smash West for bringing us to Japan for the very first time. Some people were saying that the Japanese crowd would be more quiet than we were used to. The crowds we played for were great! They were chanting, starting pits and clapping before we even entered the stage. This is a tour that we will never forget. I could not believe how cool all the fans were. They would be waiting at the hotel lobby for pictures and autographs and some were at the bullet train as well! The band got treated like real professionals on that tour and we hope to come back for our new album, 'The Incurable Tragedy.' The Osaka show was great. I had no idea that the fans would know the words to our songs in every city, but I guess that is the power of the internet nowadays. In Nagoya we played in a shopping mall and at the top was a cool rock venue called Club Quattro. Playing Tokoyo was also a dream come true. We got there a day early, so half of the band went sightseeing, but Stu and I went to Toys Factory and did some interviews with some big Japan mags like Burrn, Eat and my favorite, Young Guitar! I remember as a kid ordering the Young Guitar Yngwie Malmsteen instructional VHS tapes. They changed my playing style from that day forward. Yngwie is my favorite guitar player of all time. I'm glad to see him on the cover of the new Guitar World as well. Shred guitar is finally back in!!
"Thanks to all the fans who came out on all of our recent shows. Next up is Summer Slaughter in Canada. We'll be back out soon. Keep it metal!!!"
Into Eternity will be embarking on the Summer Slaughter Canadian tour alongside Necrophagist, Dying Fetus, Beneath the Massacre, Neuraxis, Whitechapel, Veil of Maya, Divinity and Common Grave. Cities and venues TBA. For more information, visit the Summer Slaughter MySpace page.
Canadian progressive death metallers, Into Eternity, issue the following update about their tour with Symphony X and Epica:
"We just finished our last show w/ Symphony X and Epica and all we can say is that the tour was killer! Everyone from the bands to the crew were super cool. It truly was one of our best touring experiences we've had. We can't express enough gratitude to the Symphony X guys for taking us out and allowing us to play to such a diverse and progressive crowd. We also were amazed to the extent of fans that came out as a result of our exposure with last years Gigantour and the amazing tour we had with Dream Theater." More...
On August 15, NECROPHAGIST, DYING FETUS, BENEATH THE MASSACRE, INTO ETERNITY, NEURAXIS, WHITECHAPEL, VEIL OF MAYA, DIVINITY and COMMON GRAVE will join forces in Quebec to start Summer Slaughter Canada, which is expected to go throughout the country from East to West ending in Vancouver tentatively on August 27. INTO ETERNITY's Tim Roth has issued the following update from the band's current North American tour with SYMPHONY X and EPICA:
We are almost halfway done our USA tour with Symphony X and Epica. This has been another very successful tour again for us! Every crowd is absolutely insane and a lot of the crowds have been chanting for an encore from us....ha. The band has been going on very early at most venues, so usually we are onstage at 6.30pm or 7:00pm.
Today we are in amazing Seattle. The crowds here always rule and it is an amazing city by the water. Today I got Romeo to teach me a few tricks. That guy is the next level type of shred player and he is a super nice guy. The new Symphony X is an amazing record. Everybody on this tour has been really cool, from the all the crew to all of the musicians.
After this tour ends we get to do a one off show with CHILDREN OF BODOM. It will be a special show with just the two bands. I have always wanted to play with them and hopefully I'll be able to learn a few new guitar tricks as well! We are also excited about our Japan dates that we have coming up. It's going to be a killer year of supporting The Incurable Tragedy. Keep it metal!
Also I would like to give props to Madison Amps for hooking me up with a killer new rig and Ibanez guitars for hooking up Justin with his new axe!"
COLDERA, the new melodic metal band featuring former CELLADOR guitarist Bill Hudson, former INTO ETERNITY drummer Adam Sagan, former OUTWORLD singer Carlos Zema and up-and-coming shredder John Slaughter, has issued the following update:
"After considering and talking to a lot of people from all around the world, we've been able to select the best bass player to complete our lineup. We're pretty sure most of you have heard of him, as his former band has become quite succesful in the last two years, especially in the USA, although he's based in the UK (hint?). This guy will blow everybody away with his technique, precision and amazing stage presence. We can't wait to take COLDERA on the road. That, along with the first pre-production track for our upcoming album will posted online during this upcoming week. Our MySpace page will also be officialy launched by then."
"If you want to check it out right now (it has no music yet), feel free to do so at www.myspace.com/officialcoldera."
COLDERA's debut album is expected to be released in the second half of 2008.

Canadian progressive death metallers, Into Eternity, issue the following update:
”Things are going great on our small headlining tour to the East coast, where we meet up with Epica and Symphony X. The Winnipeg show and the St.Paul gig were the 2 best so far, but we have met many cool people at all the venues. We had a blown tire on the RV already and customs held us for 3 hours at the border, while they put the RV in a parking garage and put us in a small, white brick waiting room. Our band can survive anything and we have made every show regardless. Nothing will stop this machine! The RV just made it to Des Moines yesterday and the highway was shut down due to a blizzard and car accidents! We were stuck on the interstate in a blizzard behind a mile of non moving traffic. Of course we still made the gig and had a cool show!” More...
