Orange County, CA, based Bleeding Through was formed in 1998 under the name Breakneck, featuring Eighteen Visions' members Brandon Schieppati and Scott Danough. The band made its live debut as supporting act to Throwdown and Adamantium. Things were going well but some of the members wanted to go in a different direction and expand the hardcore sound to metal, so they changed their name to Bleeding Through and began writing new songs.
At the same time guitarist Javier Van Huss left and bassist Chad Tafolla took over his part. Bassist Marc Jackson was incorporated and the band released a 5- song demo. Marc then quit the band, so Bleeding Through recruited Vijay to play bass and added a brand new member- keyboardist Molly Street. Then they went to Doubletime Studios in San Diego to record the full length CD "'Dust to Ashes", which was released in March 2001. It was reckoned as a Cannibal Corpse, At The Gates and Hatebreed crossover and featured 5 new songs and all of the demo re- recorded.
In summer 2001, the band went through yet another lineup change- guitarist Chad left and Brian Leppke joined and Mick from 18 Visions took over the bass. Another album followed, "Portrait of the Goddess", released in 2002. The band then signed with New Jersey-based Trustkill Records.
Bleeding Through's third full length album "This Is Love, This Is Murderous" was released in September 2003 and received great response from fans and media. The following summer, the band was one of the second stage acts on Ozzfest 2004. Later on the same year, Bleeding Through was featured on Headbangers Ball Tour 2004, alongside Himsa, Arch Enemy and Cradle Of Filth.
After going through many member changes and finally finding the sound they wanted to create, the current lineup is: Brandan Schieppati (vocals), Brian Leppke (guitar), Scott Danough (guitar), Derek Youngsma (drums), Ryan Wombacher (bass) and Marta (keyboards).

Former Atreyu bassist Chris Thomson and former Bleeding Through drummer Marc Jackson have teamed with vocalist Steven Miller and guitarist Keith Dival to form Crushed on You. Several demo tracks from their upcoming five track EP are available here.
While Crushed on You is not a metal band, you can check out some of their material on their MySpace page.
"Declaration," the latest release from Orange County metallers BLEEDING THROUGH, has debuted at #101 on the Billboard Top 200. The album also appeared at #14 on the Indie Chart and #19 on the Hard Music Chart.
"Declaration" was produced by Devin Townsend and is said to be the band's darkest, heaviest and most extreme offering to date, while sacrificing none of the trademarked haunting melody of prior albums. It is the follow-up to Bleeding Through's 2006 album, "The Truth," which saw the band grace the covers of Metal Edge, Outburn and Chord.
The band is currently touring to support "Declaration," with several record release shows in Southern California, including an appearance at Liskfest in Irvine, CA. The first record release show will be at Soma in San Diego and the second at the band's beloved Chain Reaction in Anaheim. Joining Bleeding Through at both shows will be Stick To Your Guns, Oblige and Let Live.

"We are back! We have new promotors and new investors and the show will go on! We have a ton of new things that will be added to the show as well. Spread the word let people know we are back! Thank you to Paul T. and Goldenvoice. Thank you to Paul Frank Industries and CardboardRobot.

Bands scheduled to perform included Gorilla Biscuits, Death By Stereo, Bleeding Through, H20, and Rival Schools.

Liskfest, scheduled to take place on October 11th in Irvine, California, has been cancelled. Organizers have issued the following statement:
"Due to poor ticket sales, Liskfest has officially been cancelled. For inquiries please contact Goldenvoice and Ticketmaster. I want to apologize to all the people who were planning on traveling from abroad to see all the bands. We truly are sorry this had to happen."
Bands scheduled to perform included Gorilla Biscuits, Death By Stereo, Bleeding Through, H20, and Rival Schools.
Bleeding Through will film a music video for the song "Death Anxiety" this weekend. The video is the first from the band's new album, "Declaration," due September 30 on Trustkill Records.
"We wanted something simple and performance driven but with lots of pyro, just fire everywhere," says frontman Brandan Schieppati. "And by all accounts, that is exactly what we will be getting this weekend."
The clip will be directed by Dave Brodsky, whose resume includes music videos from All That Remains, Black Dahlia Murder and Gwar. The band's performance will be filmed this weekend in Los Angeles, California.
"Declaration" was produced by Devin Townsend and is said to be the band's darkest, heaviest and most extreme offering to date, while sacrificing none of the trademarked haunting melody of prior albums. It is the follow-up to Bleeding Through's 2006 album, "The Truth."
Bleeding Through has toured the world nonstop since the release of their 2003 breakthrough album, "This is Love, This is Murderous," including tours with Marilyn Manson / Slayer, AFI, HIM, Senses Fail, Cradle Of Filth, two stints on Ozzfest, Vans Warped Tour and their own Paul Frank and Strhess Clothing sponsored US headlining tours.
Bleeding Through is on tour in North America with Bullet For My Valentine, which will be followed by a European tour with Bullet For My Valentine and Lacuna Coil, the band's first ever show in Mexico at the Vans Warped Tour Pre-Fiesta with Underoath and MxPx, and the Orange County Liskfest with Pennywise, Gorilla Biscuits and Living Sacrifice. Bleeding Through has posted an update stating the band has resolved its much-publicized issues with label Trustkill Records, and both are now moving forward together. The group's new album, "Declaration," is scheduled for a September 30th release date, and a video for the album's first single "Death Anxiety" is now in the works. The update, posted on the band's MySpace page, follows:
"We wanted to send a note of appreciation and gratitude to all of you for your messages of support, solidarity and sincere empathy as we struggled through the making of our new album, Declaration, a process we detailed publicly back in the beginning of June. The outpouring of concern and interest from our ardent fans VERY MUCH helped us through what was a difficult time on the business side of Bleeding Through. More...
Bleeding Through have posted a brand new song online entitled "Death Anxiety" which can be heard at this location. The song comes off the bands forthcoming new album "Declaration." The album is scheduled to be released on September 30th.
On September 30, Bleeding Through will unleash their latest album, "Declaration." According to the press release, "'Declaration' is heavier, darker, angrier, more pissed off, faster and more epic than anything in the band's already impressive catalog."
The followup to "The Truth" (2006) and "This is Love, This is Murderous" (2003), which have sold a combined quarter of a million albums worldwide, was produced by Devin Townsend in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Contrary to earlier reports of a conceptually driven album, Bleeding Through’s latest is their most diverse offering thematically, addressing a variety of topics on tracks like "There Was a Flood," "Germany" and "Death Anxiety."
Frontman and lyricist Brandan Scheippati has written one last song based on his angry heartbreaking muse, "Sister Charlatan," which closes the album and features the first ever vocal chorus contribution from virtuoso bass player Ryan Wombacher, who also co-wrote the experimental and dark "In Loving Memory of England." Keyboardist Marta is more present than ever throughout the music, including her directing of real strings and classical instrumentation.
"Declaration" is also the first album featuring guitarist Jona Weinhofen, who joined the band over a year ago after the breakup of his former group, I Killed The Prom Queen.
